Huey and his younger brother Riley stared at their grandfather in disbelief. "What yhu mean the school got shut down?" Riley finally spoke. "Just what I said boy." Robert said as he poured himself a glass of orange juice. "And y'all stop starin at me, you two look stupid." He added.
"Why did they shut the school down?"
Robert shrugged. "Something about it more of a drug hub than a school."
"So where we gon go Grandad? The fuck we gone do?" Riley said, sitting down on a dining room chair. "Most parents are applying for the little private schools on financial aid. But me, I'm not finna do that no siree. Y'all talkin yall asses to that white school across town."
The look on Huey's face told the entire picture. "The school across town? You mean the one with the highest percentile of white children on this planet?"
"Yes."
"He sellin us off to the white people." Riley mumbled.
"Negro, nobody doin a damn thing, wouldn't get shit for selling your behind anyways. You two be lucky I didn't send you off to boarding school like I was planning."
"Oh for sure thank you granddad, this is the best decision you could've ever made." Huey remarks sarcastically.
"Aw, thank you Huey, now if only if your brother gets on board." He finishes his sentence and walks out of the room with his glass of orange juice as Riley and Huey sat there staring at each other in silence.
"I would've took my ass to boardin school rather than goto that white bread ass school." Riley crosses his arms. "What will my homies think bout this lame ass shit."
Huey picked a book up off the counter, preparing to leave the kitchen. "I don't know maybe the same think they always think. You're a loud mouth." He walks out of the room, slightly smirking as Riley begins to go on a rant.
"Nigga, that's why you gay! When's the last time you been seen wit a female? Never nigga! Always close up by Caesar!"
Huey was already in his room, silently reading his book as he drowned out Riley's noise. He was thinking about the new school he was going to be attending from now on. It was sure to be a horrible experience. A bunch of white kids and a couple of black students, what could go wrong. After a couple minutes of reading, Huey closed the book and looked outside, it was dark, it had already been dark and it was Sunday. He assumed tomorrow would be long and boring since he'd have to get his schedules and everything else.
He rolled over and closed his eyes, he soon fell asleep. Early the next morning, Riley burst into Huey's room and shook him awake. "Get up nigga, I'm not finna get on this bus alone nigga!"
Huey almost punched Riley in the jaw right there for interrupting his sleep. "I'm up!" He jolted out of bed, angrily. He got dressed quickly and did his little facial routine. He walked out of the door without eating cereal, he'd eat at 'school'. Riley and Huey walked to the bus silently, Riley was on his phone. Before long, they heard a voice calling. "Ay niggas, wait up!" They both turned and saw it was Caesar. "Nigga what we goin to school?" Riley says as Huey and Caesar dapped each other up. He turned his head to Riley and titled his head. "Nigga, where you think I'm going? My momma ain't got that private school money."
A grin formed across Riley's face and he began to dap Caesar up. "That's my nigga! Three of us in that white ass school? We gone take over and shit."
Caesar rolled his eyes and the group continued walking to the bus stop. Once they arrived, it didn't take long for them to see the bus coming down the street. When the doors opened, their eyes were met with the darkest man they have ever seen in their entire lives. "Back of da bus darkies." The man croaked out. As they stepped on the bus, they realized nobody else was even on.
