33- A lifetime love *ended*

*Lucas POV*

I hate when mommy and daddy fight. If I would have just ate the stupid chocolate ice cream none of this would would have happened. I'm really excited to see uncle Liam though, mommy explained to me everything that happened and why we are going to New Jersey. Uncle Liam always brings me to the the toy store and I get to pick out toys to bring home. He is my favorite uncle. I even like him better then uncle Ethan. Mommy cried part of the plane ride. I felt like she was upset with me. "Are you upset with me mommy?" I asked. "No sweetie" she kissed me on my nose. "I'm upset with Daddy and mine actions." The lady who runs the plane told us to get ready to get off soon. I'm glad we were getting off soon because I'm tried.

*Grayson's POV*

I really messed up. I don't know why I got so angry. This isn't the first time this has happened. Once, a few months ago, I slapped Sam across the face. I don't know why, but the anger just comes over me and I burst. I just want my family back. I knew they would be at Liam's and not her parents so I packed a back and caught the next flight out to New Jersey.

*Samantha's POV*
I called Liam and told him we got a cab, and to not worry about picking us up from the airport. Lucas fell asleep on the way there, but I woke him up when we got to Liam's house. It felt good to be back home in New Jersey. LA gets overwhelming sometimes. I used my key and walked into Liam's house. "Liam?" I called out, right after I yelled that Lucas yelled "uncle Liam its Lucas!" I laughed, and heated laughing coming down stairs.

"Hey sis!" Liam hugged me then went to Lucas. "Lukster! What's up!?" Liam asked.

"I missed you uncle Liam!" Lucas said while hugging Liam. It was honestly the cutest thing ever. I took a picture of them hugging and sent it to Liam. "Why don't you go play with some of your toys in the guest bedroom Lucas. I left some toys in there from last time you were here!" Lucas ran upstairs and Liam sat me down at the kitchen table. He made me tea then asked "so what happened?" I started crying. "Woah. It's okay, I'm sure you and Grayson will be fine and make up!" Liam said trying to comfort me. I shook my head no. "I can't do it anymore. He hit Lucas and we have never ever done that before to him for discipline. Then He called me a bitch. Liam he isn't acting like how he used to. He used to be a big family man and caring and would never yell, now he is never home and we fight all the time."

"What do think is gonna happen?" Liam asked politely.

"I think I'm gonna ask for a divorce. I can't handle this." Liam was absolutely shocked.

"Sam but ever since I can rennet you and Grayson have loved each other. You guys have a special spark." Liam said. I looked at my tea and stirred it. "Love burns out, and I think mine and Grayson's did." I said still crying.

*Grayson's POV*

My flight to new jersey was right after Lucas and Sam's. I arrived at Liam's and rang the door bell. Liam answered. "Ummm.. Hey Grayson." He said confused "is Sam here!?" Liam nodded and I ran into the house and into the kitchen Sam was sitting at the table. She looked up shocked I was here. "Grayson! What, h-how did you get her?" She asked still shocked. "I took a plane right after you guys left. Sam I really messed up and I don't want you and Lucas out of my life. I have loved you for a lifetime. We can't just forget about that." I said.

"Grayson you haven't been yourself. Your not the man I fell in love when we were teenagers. You have changed. Not just a little change either. You have changed for the worse. You called me names and hit Lucas, you have a horrible temper. What happened at the house tonight isn't the first time that has happened. I can't just keep pretending our life is perfect because it isn't." Sam said.

"What does that mean?" I said. "Daddy! You came!" Lucas said while running into the kitchen. "Hey buddy! Go back and play with your toys so mommy and I can talk okay?" Lucas ran back to his toys.

"Like I asked before, what does that mean?" I asked again. There was a long and silent pause before she said anything else.

"Grayson, it's gonna be hard to work things out. I think we need to get a Divorce." She said not even looking at me straight in the face. I took a lot for me not to start crying. I love her so much.

"Sam please no. I love you." I said, and I did.

"Grayson it's what's best. If we are really meant to be, maybe we will find our way back to each other." I couldn't believe this was actually happening. All this was too much to take in. Me and Sam were getting a divorce. I walked over to her kissed her cheek that was soaked in tears, and walked out. I headed over to my parents house. That's the only place I have to stay, I can't stay at Liam's like I planned anymore.

*Samantha's POV*

It's weird to think I have loved Grayson for a such a long time and now we are planning on getting a divorce. I hate putting Lucas through that at such a young age, but it is for the best. I just hate to see Grayson so hurt.

"So you and Grayson are getting a divorce?" Liam asked. "I guess so." I said quietly. "If it helps my friend is a divorce lawyer he can do it for you." I nodded. "Yeah, thank you Liam." I went up stairs to try to explain everything to Lucas. I don't think he quite understood any of it.

"I called my friend who's the divorce lawyer. She wants to know all the details can you come talk to her?" Liam yelled from the kitchen. I went down stairs and took the phone. I talk to her for awhile. Her name is Cathy and she was very nice about everything.

*Grayson's POV*
{3 days later}

A divorce lawyer called me, by the name of Cathy. I can't believe this is really happening. Today me and Sam are meeting at a court house to sign the divorce papers. I got ready and headed to the court house.

I pulled up and got out. Sam had just pulled up also. I walked over to her and we walked in together. "Are you sure you want to do this Sam. I don't want to, but I will do what ever makes you happy. Even if it means I'm not happy." I said. She looked me in the eyes. "I'm sorry." She kissed my cheek and sat down at Cathy's desk.

"Okay so I need both of you to sign these papers." She handed us a few papers, me and Sam both hesitated to sign them, but she did so I did. "Okay, by the name of the court of law in New Jersey, I pronounce you too divorced." Cathy said. This was the end. Once we were done we walked back out to our cars. "Grayson wait" Sam said. "I'm sorry we had to do this. I'm going back to LA to get my things tomorrow. You can have the house. I'm gonna buy a house in LA so we can share Lucas." She hugged me then handed me her wedding ring.

"Sam wait!" She turned around. "Keep it" I handed her the wedding ring back and she slipped it into her pocket. As she walked away I whispered "you will still always be my one goal." But I guess we can't all be happy in this world. So I guess it had to happen. My lifetime love... ended.
