"You know, I can't believe that bitch got away with battering a kid like that," Robbie stated. "Who?" Lucy questioned before taking a sip from her can of Coke. Robbie scoffed. "Who do you think?" he retorted.

She sighed in annoyance at her cousin, "Just leave it. She's-" she advised. "No, Luce. She was bang out of order," he asserted with lines between his brows. He couldn't understand why his cousin was so unfazed by the situation. "When I met her, she was a right cow," he added.

"Wait, you know her?" Lucy blurted in shock. "Well, I don't know her, but I've met her, yeah," Robbie disclosed with a shrug of his shoulders. "Why didn't you tell me?!" Lucy countered.

"I know everyone, mate, you know that, thought you would've guessed," Robbie indifferently said, "just can't wait til you get a hold of her." Robbie chuckled. "I'm doing nothing to her," Lucy knocked back her cousin's predictions. "Eh?" Robbie staggered as if he were appalled by Lucy's decision.

"You heard me," Lucy said offhandedly and shrugged off the conversation. "All alright, whatever you say," he concluded. Lucy raised a brow at Robbie; she just wished he'd mind his own business sometimes. She just wanted to forget about Claire now. She would've loved to get her revenge, but she had enough on her plate.

----

As the sun gazed into Lucy's hospital room, she was asleep in her bed, wearing the pyjamas that Nick brought. one of which was a hoodie with one of her arms snugged under it for her i.v. to have easy access.

She had her first few doses of antibiotics before she went to sleep, as well as stitches on her palm and lip. She had been given small doses of painkillers, and finally, Lucy felt like she could use her wounded hand again without feeling so much pain after nearly two days.

Lucy didn't know if the doctors knew she used to be an addict, but either way, she was thankful they didn't give her any high doses of painkillers. Despite her bed being the cosiest one she'd slept in for months, she kept stirring in her sleep. She'd wake up every so often and forget where she was but would go back to sleep effortlessly.

She kept twitching her eyes, and Robbie noticed. "Lucy?" he snapped, getting annoyed at her constant tossing and turning. She woke up instantly at the sudden noise.

She started grunting. She spoke with a croaky voice, "Ugh, what's the time?" She groggily asked Robbie, who was also just getting himself up. "Uhm, about eight a.m.," he replied after looking at the clock on the wall.

Lucy rubbed her eyes. "Has Uncle Nick gone home?" she asked, smoothing down her hair from her rough sleep. He shrugs, a little unsure of the answer, "Yeah, he's back later, I think." Lucy hummed in response.

"You ate all of that, you greedy shit?!" Lucy exclaimed after noticing all the empty packets of sweets. "What?!" he snapped, not knowing the big deal. Lucy just rolled her eyes at her cousin and began to get her slippers on. "You going to go get breakfast then?" Robbie asked.

"Nah, gonna go to the vending machine," Lucy answered. "The one down the hall isn't got anything good in it," Robbie informed. "What, cause you devoured it all?" Lucy remarked. Robbie tsked with a wink as a way of telling Lucy she was correct.

"We'll just go to the cafe then, unless you want to eat, have bed service, and eat hospital poxy soggy toast," he remarked. "Ugh, don't even," Lucy winced at the thought of soggy toast, making Robbie laugh. She just rolled her eyes, and the pair left with their money, Lucy rolling around her i.v. drip.

----

The two teenagers were messing about as they rode on Lucy's i.v. stand. As they giggled and laughed, they got several looks from patients and doctors, but they were so amused by their antics that they didn't even notice the disruption they were creating.

Lucy's face was still coloured with green, blue, purple, and black, causing her to get looks from people who assumed the worst happened to her. She made a mental note to get some makeup—not now though; she was sure she'd be crying in the end from the pain of applying anything to her battered face.

"Right, we need to stop because we're going to run into someone," Lucy stated between pants and laughter. "Okay, a few more," Robbie laughed through his words. Lucy grinned at her cousin, and she placed her feet on the wheels. Robbie pushed the stand as he ran with it in front of him and quickly hopped on, making the pair slide down the wall, their hair blowing in the air with smiles on their faces.

Lucy was incredibly thankful for this moment; it was a feeling she hadn't felt in months, and Robbie, well, was just over the moon that he had his partner in crime back, even if it wasn't for long. "Okay, enough before we get kicked out or something," Lucy said, still grinning. Robbie was still trying to recover from his laughter with his hand over his stomach. "Alright, fine," he said.

The pair were off to the cafe. There was a buffet set out, so the teenagers didn't hesitate to help themselves. Lucy was getting herself and Robbie drinks while Robbie got toast, pancakes, butter, and jam.

----

"Has Stella said anything? about me turning up like a bad penny," Lucy said as she held up her toast to her face. Robbie rolled his eyes and looked out into the distance, trying to ignore Lucy. "Oi, I'm talking to you," Lucy snapped her fingers in his face.

"I know, I can hear you right in my lugs," Robbie mocked. lucy scoffed.

"Look, it doesn't matter what she says. Just stay at Whitney's," Robbie mentioned. "Oh, come on, that's just rude," Lucy stated. "What is?" Robbie asked. "You know, just turning up and asking for a place to stay. doesn't seem right," Lucy sighed.

"Trust me, she won't see it like that," Robbie assured. "Maybe," she murmured, "do you want more food?" Lucy offered as she stood.

"Yeah, go on then. Get me another bit of toast," Robbie requested. "Okay," Lucy accepted, and she made her way to the buffet, having less food than before, of course. She found a stranded slice of toast by itself and took it, feeling lucky. She was getting herself a tea at the machine, and that's when she felt a tug on the clothing on her back.

"Look over my shoulder and tell me that ain't who I think it is," Robbie said with wide eyes. Lucy's eyebrows were drawn together in confusion before she did what Robbie told her to. She was frozen in shock and fear.

"What the fuck is she doing here?" Lucy sharply said as she stared at the figure with a dropped jaw.
