"Hey Y/N." My heart stops when I hear Gaaras voice behind me. I feel my cheeks blushing and Inos eyes light up when she looks behind me.

"Hey Gaara, what's up?" I turn and see him standing behind me, a shy look on his face. Fuck he's so hot and he doesn't even try. Okay focus Y/N.

"Would you like to come to my place to get started on the project for Chemistry?" My heart plummets because I really thought he was about to ask me on a date.

"Yeah.. for sure! We live in the same building so just text me when you're ready." I smile and fight to keep a blush off my cheeks. I just admitted to knowing he lives in the same building as me.

"Right," he smiles softly and my heart flutters. "I'll text you." He shoots me a small smirk that has my knees feeling wobbly before he walks away.

"You're in love."

"I am not!" I scoff. I turn and see Ino also watching him as he walks away. When she looks at me, she rolls her eyes and turns on her heel.

"Whatever. You let a little bit of the stalker slip there. Bitch, just get laid! If you don't do it, I will." I glare at the back of her head as I follow behind her. Part of me feels jealous and possessive, but I know she's only joking.

"I'm not a stalker," I mutter.

Later that evening I nervously check my outfit in the mirror once more. The skirt and long sleeve shirt felt forced. Sighing, I head to my closet and opt instead for black sweats with a crop top. He wears a lot of black too.. this should be fine. I'm over thinking.

My phone goes off and I scramble to grab it, my eyes scanning quickly over his text. I bite my lip in anticipation as I grab my book bag and head out the door. The elevator ride up to his floor was quick and I find myself standing in front of his door quicker than I had meant to. I hope it's not weird I'm showing up this fast...

Blowing out an uneven breath, I knock and wait patiently when I hear footsteps approaching the door. "Hey. Come in."

"Okay, thank you." I smile shyly as I move past him, looking around his apartment. It was very clean and put together, decorated in earthy tones, various pictures of pretty dessert scenes hung up here and there. "I like your place."

"Thank you." I turn to face him and I can't help but feel awkward as we both just stand there.

"Are you ready to start or?" I take off my backpack, setting it down on the couch as I begin pulling my laptop out.

"Actually... I lied earlier." I look up at him, watching as he ruffles his spiky red hair nervously. My heart starts pounding as I wait for him to continue. "I really just wanted to ask you out... but I got nervous when I saw you with your friends.."

"Oh," I blush. His icy eyes glance quickly to me and I realize that wasn't what he wanted to hear. "I mean, I would like that! What do you wanna do instead?"

"I figured we could watch a few movies and order some food? I mean.. it's not really a date but... sorry." I'm shocked. He was always so confident on campus, saying what he meant and that was it. This new flustered Gaara was making my heart melt.

"That sounds amazing," I grin. "Glad I dressed for comfort." I look down at my outfit and back at him when I notice he's looking at the exposed skin from my crop top. My cheeks flame and I have to stop a giggle. "What movies? I'm down for anything."

He grins at me before dimming the lights and walks over to the couch, sitting down smoothly beside me. "Do you like scary movies?"

"Totally!" I lie. I hated scary movies but I wasn't about to wimp out now. He scans through various movies before settling on some type of alien creature movie. Before we start it up, we order dinner and the whole time it felt like my head was spinning. We're on a date. I can't believe it... okay be cool, be cool.
