Two years earlier (Before Irrevocably Started)
"Oye hoye, itni tayyarian?" Haya teased. "Tumhari anniversary hai ya Faiz Uncle aur Anaya Aunty ki?"
Hooriya's head ducked, avoiding her eyes as red bloomed on her cheeks. Her fingers kept working the strands of her hair in a braid.
"Haya, shut up! Fuzool baatein nahi kiya karo." Hooriya glared at her twin who just laughed shamelessly.
A behaya for sure.
Donned in a white Anarkali dress was Hooriya Rehan, almost ready for the dinner her family was invited to at Rose Luxe Hotel by Faiz Jamshed and Anaya Faiz for their anniversary. She wore her silver jhumkay and khussa before fixing her lipstick again. For some reason unknown to her—or maybe she just wasn't willing to admit it yet—Hoor was beyond nervous. But all her nerves aside, Hooriya might just be glowing with happiness—also for a reason she wasn't ready to admit.
Just a crush, she reminded herself. Just a harmless little crush.
And, God, was Haya taking advantage of it. She hadn't missed one chance to tease Hoor, especially in regards to her Farhaan Bhai.
Just as Haya opened her mouth to speak again, their mother called out their names from downstairs, urging them to hurry up so they would be at the hotel in time. Hooriya sighed in relief and headed for the door, Haya following once she'd turned the lights off.
"Please don't cause a mess," Anabia said to her boys who obediently nodded, though everyone knew just how obedient Rohaan was.
"Don't worry, Mama. We'll manage," Arsalan reassured with a small smile, his headphones hanging around his neck.
