•Emery's POV•
"Don't they look cute?" I say handing Char my phone to scroll through the pictures of the kids.
"Aww, I love them, they're definitely going to remember that trip for the rest of their lives," Char says admiring each of the photos.
Last week the kids from the hospital went to Disney World and the photos got in, seeing all their smiling faces especially the ones where they posed with all the different princesses they could find, made me so happy.
I already planned another visit with Char soon, she's just as excited to see them as I am, maybe even more.
"I'm glad they had fun," I smile taking my phone back.
"What are you doing later?" Char asks as we cross the street heading back to school.
"Event," I sigh slightly but keep it quiet.
"Another?!?" She says shocked.
"Yeah," I confirm.
"But you had one yesterday, and the day before-Emery, How many have you been to this week?" She asked worry lacing her voice.
It takes me a moment to count, "Six-seven," I answer, "If you count the premier as one," I add. Yes, I did walk a carpet and have a few interviews but then I watched a new movie so I don't know if that cancels it out or not.
"Girl-," She sighs. "Don't you think you might be overextending yourself a bit? I know if I were you I would need a serious nap right about now," She says in such a tone that suggests she's treading lightly.
"I'm fine, really Char," I reassure her, "I've been doing this my whole life it's my normal now," I explain.
"If you say so," She says unconvinced but lets it go,
At least I hope she's letting it go.
"What are you doing tonight?" I ask.
Her head turns to me quickly with eyes wide. "What?" I ask.
"Katie invited me to go out with her and her friends to this party," she says.
"Oh," I nod, "Is that why you asked what I was doing," I ask.
" Yup," She nods, sleep can wait.
"I'll go if you want me to," I suggest. I'd never been to a party before, this would be an experience, to say the least.
"No, you should stay in and rest," She replies.
"Char I'm good, I want to go," I say. She looks into my eyes for any sign that I'm lying.
Not finding any she sighs, "Thank god, I've never been to a party before I wouldn't know what to do," She rambles.
"What do we wear?" I ask my brain overwhelmed with choices.
