» CHAPTER X «
She must've been filled with dreams, back in time,
Her eyes must've looked so full of hopes,
Now they seem just as hollow as mine.
She must've shone to her bright,
Now she looks like there's nothing but faded light.
She is a girl,
A knight in the shining armor must've been a dream.
If that happened, I could only see her eyes holding such a gleam.
Like she said, "she was weak,"
I told her, "there's always a time when it all leaks."
She must've been so innocent, her eyes,
They speak, though she lies.
The day in the alley, her innocence gone,
She looked so broken,
I saw it in her eyes when by the harsh light, she was woken.
I couldn't tell to which level my blood had boiled,
I swore to self, I'd keep her safe,
As in my arms, she was coiled.
The lied smile I had once seen across the road,
It was forced, so I'd come to know.
But even though lied, it was still a smile,
A smile, that I'd come to like.•••
