Run.

That was the only thought running through your mind at the moment.

Just run.

Run as far and as fast as you could. As fast as your legs could take you. As far as your body would allow you to go.

Your breath was fast and heavy, but you kept on pushing yourself.

The wind was cold and it was raining heavily, but you kept on going.

All you wanted to do was get as far away from everything as you possibly could. Everything bad that had been plaguing your mind, you just wanted it out.

"Sh-shit...." You hissed as you slowly came to a stop, a sharp pain shooting up your legs after so much running.

You hunched over and rested your hands on your legs, panting as you breathed deeply trying to make up for any lost breath.

Once you had done so, you took a moment to look around you. You had no idea where you were.

"....o-of course....I-I did just run without any clear thought of where to go...." You mumbled to yourself.

"S-so stupid...." You went on as you slowly sank down to the ground and hugged your knees against your chest.

You had nothing on you either. No phone, no food, just the clothes you were wearing and that was it.

In the end, you had just gotten tired of everything that terrorised you and were desperate for a way out.

So that's what you did, you found your own way out.

You ran away from home, only wanting to get as far away as possible. Not even stopping to think about what you might need to survive.

"Need a plan now though.....can't stay out here. Or maybe I could.....not that many people would notice that I was missing...." You sigh as you thought to yourself, burying your head in your hands.

Before long though, you lifted your head out of your hands and pulled yourself to your feet. Clenching your fists tightly and gritting your teeth, you took another step.

"Just....keep going....never get found.....that's the plan...." You rambled on to yourself as you kept on walking.

You opted not to keep running now as you felt you were far away enough from any danger now that you didn't need to run.

It gave you a few moments now to truly reflect on what had led you here. About how your father had suddenly changed from his normal, loving and caring self into a heartless monster who had already driven your Mother away from home.

You assumed that he had killed her but held out hope that she might've escaped and was hiding. But then you would ask yourself, 'Why didn't she come back for me?'.

And it wasn't just that either.

Everything in your life at the moment just seemed to be falling apart. Not even school could provide an escape for you.

It used to be the main issue, with home being your only relief from all of the bullying you had to go through.

Even that you didn't know why those kids were like that to you. You had never done anything wrong to them, so why did they target you so much?

Thinking about all of that eventually made you upset, so you did your best to block all of it out of your mind. It was difficult seeming as you were walking in the cold and the rain, so you had to try and find something to distract yourself from freezing.

Eventually, you gave up walking and leant your back up against a tree and slowly slid down to the ground. You wrapped your arms around yourself in an attempt to keep warm, but it did very little.
