I screamed. Who wouldn't in a situation like this. The bad thing was, that noise attracted zombies.
I would faint if I could, but I could already hear shuffling from the distance. I had to get out of here quickly before the zombies would feast on their new meal. A building was in jumping distance to the left of me. Lucky. I did the only thing I could do. Jump. I did a quick run up and jumped to the building on the left.

With no more buildings to jump too, I would wait on the roof until the zombies would leave or ease off the numbers. I waited.

I could hear the hoard coming. Well that's what I call a group of zombies anyway. The shuffling began getting louder and louder until I could see the hoard in my view. Unless, by any chance the hoard could see me, I only stole glimpses when absolutely needed. I noticed nearly every zombie there had blood on their mouths. It seemed they were already 'half full' because I could see remains of other human flesh on their bodies. I clasped my ears and shut my eyes as I prepared for the hell that was going to begin.

It began. I could hear constant noises of flesh being torn as Maddy's remains were being eaten. Trying to rid myself of the noises, I noticed that it had turned cold. I opened my eyes to be greeted by moonlight. It was night time.

The noise was dying down now. The zombies were still there, but they had lost their numbers. Instead of about 200, it had turned to 50. Now all I needed was a distraction. Thinking of nothing else, I took off my shoe and threw it to the bin. Considering I used to be bored at school, I would throw things at the bin regularly, this helped with my aim. The noise was loud enough for the lingering zombies in the area to start walking towards the bin. I jumped down from the building quietly. The bad thing was, this resulted in hurting my legs and feet causing me to stop. The heaviness of my fencing sword contributed in this. Knowing if I got surrounded I would be screwed, I began to move behind the building to avoid the zombies. This was painful as hell. I tried to be quiet, but now I was literally dragging my legs in turns. Either way, it was going pretty well so far, this applies of course, if there wasn't a zombie at the end of the road.

It was heading straight towards me. I turned right. If the zombie turned right however, I would be pushed onto the main road, only to be greeted by the remaining hoard. I couldn't make a distraction either, because all the other zombies would hear and come here. The zombie was extremely close now. I must have looked like a scared rabbit from were God was if he was watching, because I was. It's grunting and smell would have made any human be terrified. It was at the turn off now. It could either go straight (which is where I came from) or to the right. The odds were with me. Why? Because it continued going forward. Thank god. I quickly got out of the turn off, went in the lane, and got out from behind the building and area with no other troubles. All that was on my mind was "Survival is what matters after all".

Now that I was out of that hell, I had to find a place to hide for the rest of the night. The roof near Maddy's remains may of been good, but I would have died of the smell and stress there. A roof was still a good idea though, so I was heading to the roof of the Tuck Shop, that is locked but accessible by a secret route which my friends and I discovered. It's also out of the view of the 'viewers' below. I bypassed a few more zombies (I still get terrified every time) and made it to the Tuck Shop. I went, or should I say crawled up the stairs and went into the Tuck Shop. Since the door was closed, no zombies were in there. Finally, a zombie-free place! There is food and water here too, an ideal place for a 'safe zone'. Considering this place could be invaded easily if I made a noise, I took a bottle of mineral water and a bag of chips and set myself on a course to the roof.

I first went up some stairs. Next I took a right into a disguised door that was in a wall. This brought back so many memories of my life here, that I came close to crying. I then took a left, opened a door and had arrived at the roof. No-one was there. What was I hoping for? My friends to somehow appear? I put my belongings down and began to cry silently. I would of continued to cry for ages if I hadn't been patted on the back. Wait. I got patted on the back? I turned around.

"Hey".
