How you met - Matt

"It's gonna be our first Vidcon, we gotta dress to impress." Jamera insists, picking out two different options she thinks would make her friend stand out. Y/n and Jamera have been friends for a while now. They started a YouTube channel together a couple years ago and have really grown in the entertainment industry. This year, the two have been invited to this year's Vincon and are full with excitement.

"I think you should go with the royal blue." Jamera suggests. Y/n smile at herself through the mirror, putting the outfit over the one she currently has on. "Yeah I think so too, it really favor's my eyes." Y/n admit. She start to look further down at her figure in the mirror. Shes never been one to be obsessed with her beauty, but with a world like this; people constantly telling each other what the definition of beauty is, it's hard to stay confident.

People build up a urge to please their admirers, even if that hurts them in the process. "Y/n I know what you're doing, stop judging yourself. You're the most gorgeous girl I've laid my eyes on, but that shouldn't even matter. You have such a beautiful and memorable personality, that's all that counts." Jamera complements. Y/n smile at her best friend's comforting words and laughs all the negative thoughts off.

"And I'm sure Matt would agree.." She trails off smirking. Y/n instantly become flustered by the mention of the boys name. "Shut up!" She smack her out of the room jokingly. Y/n may or may not have a big crush on Matt Sturniolo. She's been a fan of him and his brothers for the longest time, she couldn't get over the fact that she was going to meet him later that day. Y/n attempts to take the big grin off her face before beginning to change.

"Oh my gosh. This is insane." Y/n states, staring wide eyed at all the activities going on around her. There was a big group of teenagers that they had to move past, but they were actually inside of Vidcon. They couldn't believe it. "We have to play it cool." Jamera reminds the both of them. Y/n nods her head, trying to suppress her excitement. They both had about an hour before they had to go to their stand to take pictures, Y/n wanted to make the most of it.

"Let's go!" Y/n screams pulling Jamera roughly, running through the crowds with no idea where she was going. She met so many popular influencers, she took pictures with Avani Gregg, Spencer Hunt, Madi Filipowicz, and so many more amazing people. She didn't specifically come to meet the Sturniolo triplets but, it would be nice experience to meet them. On the other hand, she'd be pretty nervous if she did meet them so she started to want to avoid them.

Just with her luck, her best friend comes running to her, breaking her out of her thoughts. "You will not believe who I found!" Jamera smiled widely. Y/n gives her a skeptical look before she moves to Y/n's side, revealing three identical boys. Her jaw unwillingly drops in surprise. They all give her a warm, friendly smile, which only makes them more intimidating in her eyes. Y/n immediately closes her mouth, embarrassed by how red she felt in that moment.

"Hey, I'm Chris." Y/n give him a soft smile in return. "I'm Nick!" The triplet with the mullet says. He seemed very sweet so she gave him an even bigger smile as a reply. "And I'm Matt." The last triplet brother said. His cheeks were bright pink, most likely a reaction from the hot sun. Y/n felt like screaming, she could feel Jamera's eyes fall on hers. All Y/n was capable of doing was responding with a handshake, which she immediately regretted. She felt as if that created awkwardness between the two.

"Oh, my name is Y/n by the way!" Y/n says, trying to make up for her weirdness. Jamera laughs at her friends incapability of keeping a conversation going. She begins to make conversation with the guys, leaving Y/n with some time to build up the courage to pitch in.

They went on about how cool it was that they had the same career paths, what their favorite artists were, what inspired them to go after being a YouTuber, all while that was happening, Y/n still couldn't get a single word out. Eventually, it was time for Y/n and Jamera to go to their stand so they had to say goodbye. Y/n waved at Matt softly before walking away. "Damn it. I could have made such a better impression but I all my words just got caught up, I couldn't speak." Y/n justifies. "It's alright! We'll meet them again someday, you'll be able to redeem yourself!" Jamera comforts her friend.

The triplet boys walk to their stand. "I made a complete fool of myself, look at how pink my cheeks were the entire time!" Matt complains, looking at himself through his camera. "Don't worry about it Matt, she probably thinks it was the sun, there's no way she figured out you like her, you barely said two words." Chris joked, ruffling his brothers hair. "How was it though? Was she everything you dreamed of?" Nick smiled, exaggerating his words. "She's amazing." Matt smiled to himself. His brothers friend before putting their arms around him, leading the way to their stand.
