ADELINA'S POV
i sat quietly next to clara with arms crossed. i can't believe she made me come here. she kept looking at andre and blushing when he looked back at her.

i'm happy that she finally found someone that has helped her get over daniel. he would be perfect if he wasn't best friends with that douchebag.

he would score every other time and then start running around like a maniac. it's a fucking practice. and clara kept CHEERING HIM ON.

i took my phone out and checked my messages. no messages from my parents, of course. i rolled my eyes before shutting my phone and focusing back on clara.

"i was thinking about asking him out on a date." she sounded pretty confident which caused me to smile. she's bold, much better than me.

i could crush on someone for all of my life without thinking about confessing or talking to them. but then again, i have never crushed on anyone. it's pathetic.

"go for it!" i cheered her on, pushing her playfully. she covered her face as she laughed. "stop! i will, maybe after practice." she shrugged then went back to watching everyone.

a few minutes later, the coach brought them into a group huddle before dismissing them. andre took his bag before running over to clara, joão following behind him.

he seemed to notice i was looking at him, looking back at me causing me to clear my throat and look back at my phone. "i have to go. bye, clara!" i hugged her whispering "ask him out!" then letting her go, taking my purse and leaving.

i was walking in peace until someone tapped me. i turned around to see the man himself, joão félix. i put my headphones in as he started to speak.

"are you interested in me or something?" he asked with crossed arms as he followed behind me.

i turned around, looking at him in disbelief before bursting into laughter. "that's a good joke! i didn't know you were so funny, joão. i would quiet literally rather die than ever be interested in you." i shook my head with a smile on my face.

"then why are you here? hm. you want to watch me practice? do i make your heart beat faster?" he ran in front of me, now walking backwards as he held eye contact with me.

"i can't blame you. i'm extremely attractive, a football player, rich and young." he smirked with confidence causing me to laugh again.

his smirk disappeared as he looked offended. "ok, i don't get why you're so rude! weren't you the one that called me pretty boy last night?" he asked, raising his eyebrows.

"i was drunk! i didn't know what i was saying." i tried to justify myself. "drunk words are sober thoughts, baby. if anything, you probably bumped into me on purpose last night." he spoke with a stupid smile on his face.

"you're unbelievable." i mumbled loud enough for him to hear me before walking out of his way.

"i know you're smiling!" he yelled out. i couldn't see his face but knew he still had that smile on his face. i rolled my eyes and continued walking.

JOÃO'S POV
i noticed someone standing next to my house as i drove into my parking lot. that can't be.

i angrily slammed the car door behind me and locked it. she turned around at the sound, faking a smile as she looked at me.

"JOÃO! babe, where were you?" she asked, putting her hands all over me. i disgustedly took them off and told her to go away.
