Emily's POV

I woke up, trying to figure out where I was. And then I realised that my friends, Madame Suzanne & my parents, who were sitting next to each other, we're all in the emergency room! OMG! My mum and dad were finally sitting next to each other! It was a dream come true!

Back to story

The doctor came in the room and gave them a big speech of what really happened to me, "As you can see, Emily isn't very well, that is fairly obvious." Emily's dad gave him a nasty look which seemed like he was telling him to shut up and explain what was happening to poor Emily, "Oh Emily, you have collapsed on stage because of all the stress that has been going on in your mind."
"How do you know about my stress?" Emily asked.
"Well, I asked your friends here what was really going on with you and they told me all about it. Your parents have divorced, you are afraid to tell your mum about your test scores and there were many other things like boy trouble..."
Emily's mum looked at her and whispered, "Emily you can always talk to me, no matter what happens, I am here for you."
Emily gave her mum a cuddle. Suddenly, she started to feel a sudden ache in her head, but it was more than a headache. It felt much worse. It felt like her brain was going to explode! She immediately told the doctor what was happening and without saying a word, the doctor escorted her to the surgery room.

After the operation, Emily was still asleep. The doctor explained to Emily's parents that she had a really bad pain in her head because of all the things that she was thinking about. Apparently, she was the first person in the world to have 156 things going on in her head. "There is a 40% chance that she will die," the doctor explained quite calmly, "but I highly doubt it." Emily's parents looked at each other and both gave a big sigh of relief.

Half an hour later, the doctor came back into the room and with a weird look on his face.
He explained to Emily's parents that she had been suffering with a disease that hasn't been found by human kind yet. "I'm really sorry to say that..." The doctor seemed to struggle with his words, "you're daughter didn't make it out alive." There was a moment of silence in the room, which was then broken with the screaming, sobbing, crying and much more of Emily's parents, friends, sister.

The next week Emily was buried. She had a sign on her grave saying, "Dance, dance and dance once more. In memory of Emily Foregrin."
