Just some Skyborn characters I drew in chibi style. There ARE SPOILERS, so if you have not finished all three books, be warned! Also, the characters are not mine and their appearances rely heavily on my interpretation of their book descriptions, so...

Finally finished Twig!
Description: He has a gray-brown wing, with feathers having random patches of white and gray-brown. (In the Clan section of Sparrow Rising, Jessica Khoury said Mockingbird wings are "gray with white patches", but Twig is said to have one brown Mockingbird wing.) The marginal coverts and secondary coverts of both wings are gray-brown, but most of the Swan wing is white with black tips. (The cover art shows both his marginal coverts and secondary coverts as gray, yet Cranes have white feathers with black tips. I believe it is simply a blend of the two since he is a piebald.) He has freckles. (with some brown smudges on his face from mud). His hair is messy and curly and bright orange, with leaves sticking out of it (not shown here, because I'm lazy.) And of course, there's Lirri on his shoulders. (Did you guys know she's a pronged marten? Not martIn - martEn, with an "e". Everyone keeps getting that wrong.) (I believe her white horns are small little spikes instead of full antlers with prongs, because on all three of the Skyborn maps, she's shown with short horns, and I hold those more highly in regard to accuracy than the book covers, which were not drawn by the author herself). Twig had green eyes (it's a guess, but it just compliments his orange hair and would match the leaves).
And for Twig's outfit, I just copied the book cover because I do not want to be drawing a 10/11-year-old kid with a "shirt so grubby and torn up it hardly passed for clothing anymore." I put a green tint in his black shorts and black gloves because color scheme, but also the cover has those items looking a bit lighter than black would normally be portrayed.
He's dirty and he likes it that way. This is probably why he got wingrot and the others didn't.
I could've just drawn him with mechanical wings, but I didn't want to put that many spoilers in here. I should do that sometime.
