"It's a relief and great excitement to be up here, speaking to all my fellow peers and to say that we are finally graduating!

As the valedictorian of our graduating class, and as your friend..." I locked eyes with Eddie in the sea of students and smiled, "I just want to say how extremely proud I am of you.

These four years have been tough, yes. But with friends, family, parents, and of course, our wonderful staff... we made it.

... Lastly, a piece of advice to you all and one thing high school has taught me-be yourself no matter who you're with and where you are. That being said, congratulations to the class of 86!" I squealed, clapping my hands.

After being kindly escorted back to my seat, the speeches continued on and the ceremony followed as planned.

"Congratulations baby!" My mom squealed, immediately engulfing me in a hug, "We're so proud of you!" She let go of me and kissed me all over my face, then letting my dad give me a hug.

He kissed my cheek, smiling at me widely with glossed over eyes. "I am so proud of you baby girl." "Thank you daddy." "These are for you," he handed me a bouquet of flowers, all in my favorite color. I smiled ear to ear, giving them another hug.

My mom then took my bouquet of flowers and glanced at my dad before she smiled at me, "Go find Eddie, I'm sure you're itching to talk to him. Just be back in time for your party." I kissed both of them and waved as I left, "Thanks guys! I'll see you later!"

I stretched my neck out, scanning the crowd of mostly green and orange. Not finding any luck in the midst of it all, I walked off to side to find better luck.

I then thought of where he could've been and immediately started heading to the back of the school, and to the woods. There, I found Eddie, sitting at the lopsided bench.

I could hear him sniffling from afar. I put my hand on his shoulder and hugged him from behind. "You did it Eddie!" He wiped his eyes before turning around to give me an actual hug. "Thank you Y/n... I can finally get out of this shit hole." He lightly chuckled in the crook of my neck.

"Give yourself some credit! The only person that got you here was you. You just needed a little push, was all." I simply shrugged, rubbing his back.

He got up from my neck and looked at me with red, puffy eyes. "Seriously, I wouldn't be here if wasn't for you. I love you y/n." I poked out my bottom lip and sniffled, trying to keep myself from crying, "I love you too." But no avail, small tears ran down my face as we shared a passionate kiss.

"Oh what am I doing- you should probably find your parents, I'm sure they're looking for you." He said, wiping his face. "I already saw them and they told me to find you," I grinned, holding his hands. "Did you see your uncle tho?" "Yeah, but not for long, he had to go to work."

"Since you don't have anything to do, my parents are throwing a party for me and I'd love it if you came." I swing our interlocked hand.

"Is your family gonna be there?" He asked, glancing at me. "Yep." "Perfect! I gotta introduce myself now before I become your husband." He giggled, spinning around in a circle all giddy.

"Alright Mr. I Do, let's go get some milkshakes."
