Glacie woke up that morning to Vapor having what seemed to be a nightmare, but it was more of a night terror. When she went to check on Vapor he was tossing and turning and talking to someone. "Leafie!" she whispered as she entered their room. "Yeah?" they asked. "Vapor sounds scared," she said, "in his sleep." "Wake him up i guess?" Leafie suggested. "Alright," Glacie said.
She walked over to Vapors room and shook him. He wasn't waking up anytime soon. "I guess i'll just wait here for him," she said, sitting down. Glacie realized she could hear him speaking full sentences, asking where he was. Glacie pulled out a notepad and began writing all his words down, despite not being able to hear what the other person was saying. "They're talking about Evie and Avie," she said after a while. "Why are they in a lab?" she whispered. He's whispering his thoughts too, she thought. "Wake up!" she shouted.
Vapor bolted awake and jumped up. Glacie started shaking him. "You sounded like you were having a really bad nightmare so i came to check on you!" she said. Vapor started looking around. Vapor ran out of the room and Glacie followed. Silver was poking her head out of the tent. "I heard someone out here," Silver said.
"Must have been your imagination," Glacie said, bounding over to Silver. Vapor nodded. "If you say so," Silver said, closing the tent. Glacie smiled and walked back to her and Leafie's room. "Don't you think it's kind of strange we're the only ones who share a room?" they asked. "I dunno, my big brother Vapor said it's because everyone else wanted personal space," she said, looking at Evie who was asleep. "Maybe, anyways i'm tired, goodnight," Leafie said. "Goodnight," Glacie said, looking back at her notepad. I don't get it. His dream, it was so strange, i wish i knew the other part, who he was talking to, i'll ask Esper if she knows tomorrow.
Glacie woke up and bounded over to Esper's room. "Esp! I need help with something," she said. "Hm? Oh, what is it?" Esp asked. "Vapor was talking in his sleep, like, to someone, and he sounded serious about it," she said. "Vapor left earlier." "WHERE?!?!" she asked. "Poké center—" Esper couldn't finish her sentence before Glacie ran over to Silver.
"VAPOR! He left!" she shouted. "What? Where?" Silver asked. "To the Poké center!" Glacie yelled. "This is bad..." Silver muttered. "Why?" she asked. "Never mind, he'll be back," Silver said. Glacie nodded and walked around the tent for a while trying to find something to do. Glacie was about to give up when she saw Ombré. "Hi!" she said. Ombré looked at her for a second, waved, and then left. "Strange," she said, shrugging. Glacie sat down and started drawing something.
"A lot has been going on lately," she mumbled to herself. "First Flare's death, then Joltie, then Vapor goes missing!" she shouted. "What's next? I'm going to die? Or am i going to go missing while looking for Vapor!" she cried into her hands. She angrily drew a large X right through her drawing. Glacie flipped to the next page and drew the best drawing of her brother she could. "I'm going to make a missing poster for him," she whispered, walking to the printer. "Good thing we have this," she said, making the missing poster complete and copied.
Glacie slipped on her hat and ran outside with the stapler. She carefully spread out each poster throughout the city and stopped when she reached the Trainer city. Wow, I walked far enough to reach the other city... "Breathe in, breathe out," she said, copying her brother. Her tail and ears vanished and she walked through the streets, putting up posters. "Hey, you," someone said from behind her. "You alright?" they asked. Glacie almost dropped the posters before turning around. "My brother went missing the other day," she lied. I mean, he did go missing but not until today. "Oh, do you need help putting those up?" they asked, reaching out their hand. "Sure i guess," Glacie said, handing them half.
The trainer let out a small gasp seeing the poster. "I saw him yesterday," she said. "I don't know if he's moved by then though..." "Where!?" Glacie asked, dropping the posters. "In the poké center, i was healing my pokémon when he ran through," she said. "Wait, the one back there?" Glacie asked, pointing towards the one that is in between the cities. "Yup, no one ever goes to that side, you must be pretty brave to do that," The woman said, seeing the posters in the other part. "Oh! I'm Glacie by the way, you are???" she said. "I'm... Rachel," Rachel said, holding her hand out. Glacie shook her hand happily. "So where'd he go inside of the poké center?" she asked. "Behind the healing station, from what i saw he went down a flight of stairs too.," Rachel said. Glacie smiled. "Thank you for helping me! I'll see you tomorrow!" she said, running towards the poké center and then out of sight.
"I made a friend AND found out where my brother went!" she cheered. She walked through the alleys of the city in case Rachel saw her in that part of town. Her ears and tail reappeared as she walked. "Oh my god! Aren't you from the circus thingy?" A Buneary said, running up to her. "Yeah, sorry i couldn't make it to the last show," Glacie apologized. "It's alright!" Buneary said. Glacie smiled and began walking again.
Glacie walked a bit further and tripped on a rock, skinning her knee. "Ow! Ow!" she shouted. Blood trickled down her leg. "Just... a... couple... miles..." she groaned as she stood up, dragging her leg behind her. She found that someone had left their tent laying out, so she looked inside. In the tent was a med-kit and some food and a lamp. "They won't mind if i just take a bandage, will they?" she asked herself as she wrapped it around her leg. She stood up and began walking again.
Her legs began to tire as she walked through the narrow alleyway. "I have... to get home..." she paused for a moment to breathe. I can't believe i forgot my inhaler... Maybe some cold air will help, she thought as she used one of her moves. "Barely," she said, breathing in. She ran faster then ever, trying to get home. She ran out of the alley and into the streets, obviously being stared at. She didn't care. Her leg was bleeding through the bandage and her arms were scraped up, and her hair was probably looking crazy.
She walked into the carnival tent and almost collapsed on the ground. She ran to the closest room. Joltie's... I miss him... Glacie closed her eyes, not knowing it had been two days since she left. "GLACIE'S BACK!!!" Joltie's voice whispered. His voice and... Flare's too. They kept talking and talking. Glacie fainted after a while.
Tap.
     Tap.
          Tap.
Glacie woke up for a moment, not being able to register was going on before she fell asleep again.
              Tap.
                    Tap.
                         Growl.
Glacie opened her eyes for a moment and tried to move, but only her leg twitched.
                                    Growl.
                                            Crunch.
                                                    Crunch.
                                                           Swallow.
Glacie couldn't do anything to stop it. She was being eaten alive. And by her brother's best friends. This was it. Glacie lost conscience for the last time.
