You don't know what you were expecting Skully's room to look like, but it definitely wasn't much like this. The walls were a dark, dusky blue color. A few papers were taped to the wall, black markings on them reading many things along the lines of 'always watching, no eyes', 'dread comes', and various other vaguely-threatening phrases along with drawings of trees and circles/ovals with an x drawn through them. The queen-sized bed pushed against the far corner of the room was messy, with blue and grey sheets.

There was a messy desk with more papers strewn over it and a closed laptop on its charger. There was also a desk lamp and a few notebooks stacked on top of one another. Under the desk was a trashcan and a box that was full to the brim with tapes.Next to the desk was an old, dark brown couch that had a TV and its accompanying stand a few feet away. The most notable thing was the tripod and camera set up in the empty corner of the room, facing out towards the entire room. Its red light was blinking, indicating it was on. That was a bit unnerving.

Skully walked past you and into the center of his room, making a grandiose gesture that you could easily tell was supposed to be a welcome. You eyed the camera suspiciously.

"Do you always have that camera on, Skully?" You asked. He nodded his head affirmatively, suddenly looking a bit anxious. He made a fist and brought it to his chest, making a circle motion over his chest. You stared at him a bit perplexed for a second. He suddenly lightened up, rushing over to the desk and rummaging through one of the drawers. It wasn't long before he pulled out a whiteboard and a dry erase marker. He wrote something on it quickly before walking over and giving it to you to read.

"Sorry about the camera. Past problems; sleep walking and being watched when I slept. Also I can help you learn sign." After reading it, you looked back up at Skully who shot you a thumbs up. You handed the whiteboard back to him.

"That'd be really nice, thanks Skully. And I don't mind you having the camera, but maybe we could have it off when you're not sleeping?" You suggested. "It's just a bit creepy, sorry." Skully shrugged and walked over to it to turn it off for now. You breathed a sigh of relief that he didn't seem to mind shutting the camera off for you. "So I guess I'm sleeping on the couch?" You asked just to make small talk. Skully began writing on the whiteboard again, and before long he was handing it to you.

"You can sleep on the couch or share a bed with me, I don't mind. Tim says I sleep like a rock once I'm out." You felt yourself flush a bit at the prospect of sharing a bed with someone you just met. Looking up at Skully, he avoided direct eye contact with you as he waited for your reply. He was just trying to be nice, that was it.

"It's fine, I'll sleep on the couch. Thanks for the offer, though." You smiled at him. He gave another thumbs up and took the white board back from you. He erased it with his sleeve again, and gave it back to you after writing another message.

"You should write that list now. I'll go get us lunch. Do you like PB&Js?" Skully asked. You nodded,

"Yeah I could go for peanut butter and jelly. Could you also get me some water?" You asked nicely. Skully nodded and walked out of the room, closing the door behind him as he left with a quiet click. You glanced back at the camera, noting the lack of blinking red light. With a sigh, you walked over to the desk and set the whiteboard down. You sat in the desk chair in front of it, the old thing creaking under your weight. Hesitantly, you opened the laptop set in front of you.

After a second, the screen went off. Unluckily, you had to enter a password to get in. You tried the first thing that came to mind: 1234. It didn't work. You huffed, and decided to give up trying to get into the laptop. You didn't even really know why you wanted to use it, anyways. You just craved some sense of normalcy, or answers, in this situation you found yourself in. You groaned and ran your hands down your face. You leaned back in the chair and took some calming breaths. You opened your eyes again and were about to close the laptop when you noticed when the screen had changed, and now there were two red eyes staring back at you.
