It was your first time out of the mansion since you first arrived. You were required to hide your face with sunglasses and a face mask, which was hot as Satan's armpit in the summer heat, but you understood. You were kind of a wanted fugitive. Additionally: this was not Slenderman approved.

It was a long trek to town, a few miles at least, but Toby offered to carry you halfway through which was a nice thing. It made it so your feet didn't hurt as much once you reached the town.

"Where shall we go?" Kate rubbed her hands together. No one was wearing their mask to fit in better with the general populace. They had also changed clothes into things less... well, blood-stained.

Kate was wearing a tight, plain white tank top. For pants, she was wearing baggy, black shorts that were just barely being held up by her hips, causing her to keep having to pull them up. She was wearing white athletic socks that went halfway up her calves and a pair of scuffed, sort of dirty white shoes. For accessories, she was wearing a simple, dainty heart necklace that glimmered in the sunlight. Her black hair was pulled into a high ponytail, a few stray hairs framing her face.

Toby was wearing an olive green t-shirt and khaki shorts. He had a bandage covering the scar on his face, and was wearing well-loved black sneakers. With new skin showing, you could now see bruises and scars on his body from previous accidents, some probably regarding his tics. You also noticed a small monitor of sorts on his underarm, half concealed by the sleeve of his shirt. When you asked what it was for, he explained that it was to monitor his temperature and heartbeat to make sure he didn't overheat or develop frostbite.

Tim was wearing a red, plaid, button up t- shirt with jeans and some old converse. He also had sunglasses to protect his eyes from the harsh rays beaming from that giant star in the sky people used to worship back in the old times where the average pastime was building pyramids. He was also wearing a watch that seemed to be synced with Toby's temperature monitor.

Brian was wearing a Hawaiian shirt with fish, palm trees, and suns. He had on baggy jean shorts that were being held up with a brown, leather belt. He also had a fanny pack on, carrying extra water and sunglasses for everyone. He looked like the epitome of a dad in summer, which you found not only cute but also a bit funny. He was wearing sunglasses on his head, deciding he didn't quite need them yet.

Skully, paranoid of people seeing his face, was wearing both a face mask and sunglasses, like how you were. They were wearing a light blue t-shirt with a darker blue bird print. They also had baggy jeans, and scuffed blue and white sneakers. They carried a small, hand-held camera with them, recording as they went. You knew it would probably draw some attention, and you hoped that people just assumed they were some kind of YouTuber or something.

You had also changed into something cooler and more comfortable. A plain t-shirt and some shorts, with the same shoes you'd been wearing since you arrived at the mansion. In all truth, you were a bit tempted to run away, but knew you stood better chances with the proxies. Not only were they keeping you alive for now, but you basically had free housing for the time being. You also didn't have to make meals, had plenty of people to talk to and interact with on the daily without needing to make friends, and your boss didn't seem like a total asshole. Another added bonus was the parties that he apparently threw, which reminded you of something out of a book.

Maybe your life had taken an insane turn, but it wasn't that bad. You were actually pretty happy; happier than you've been in a while. Ironic, seeing as you were hanging out with five psychopaths who's job consisted of killing people and hiding the bodies, but whatever. They were some of the nicest people you've ever met.

And if they were attractive, well, that was just an added bonus.

Maybe it was Stockholm syndrome, but you had to admit that you had developed a small crush on the group of five. It was a bit much all at once, sure, but right now you were sure that it was just a thing with them being your type. How are you supposed to not get a crush on a bunch of hot people? That was it, though, you feel as though you didn't know them well enough to develop fully-fledged crushes for all of them. Although you could feel the beginnings of a deeper crush begin to form the longer you spent with the group.
