chapter three

-ordinary world-

"baby, where should we go this friday?" hyunjin asked and i looked up at him and the world around me. right. we're at his place. "i don't know, should we try new restaurants?"

"we should go to the cat cafe! minho hyung told me about it the other day"

"minho hyung?" i raised a brow. why does that sound familiar?

"you know.. jisung, the guy you used to call your twin?"

"my best friend from high school?"

"yeah! he's dating minho hyung, a friend from my dance class"

they're dating even in the ordinary world?

wait, ordinary world? there's another world?

what is going on?

"lix, listen to me" hyunjin snapped his fingers in front of my face. "what were you saying?"

"well.. so minho hyung actually asked if we could go on a double date next monday evening." he said and i smiled a bit. "so i get to see jisung again?"

"yeah! i'm sure you'll be inseparable like before!"

today is the day i meet jisung again. it's been a while.

also he's my best friend in the oddinary world, i'm sure we'll be best friends in the ordinary world.

what is up with the ordinary and oddinary world?

everytime i think about people i know or am close to, the oddinary world always pops up in my mind.

i'm still confused what is going on though, the oddinary world is just a world i shift to when i go to sleep. it's not real, right?

a few nights ago i had a nightmare about the oddinary world. hyunjin was my biggest enemy. i know it's opposite in the ordinary world, and i very much like this world better.

i cannot imagine myself hating hyunjin, that will be horrible.

but if everything is opposite in the ordinary world, my best friend in the oddinary world is jisung.

but i was best friends with him in high school, and he's dating minho in both worlds, what will go wrong?

"lix, hyunjin is here!" i heard my sister shout from downstairs so i grabbed my phone and rushed down.

i saw him talking to my parents, sitting on the couch. "oh. hey" he smiled as he saw me. "where exactly are you two going?"

"i've told you.. we're meeting some friends" i said, blushing a bit and walked up to them. "we're going on a double date!" hyunjin chuckled, holding my hand. "we better go now, bye mom and dad" i pulled hyunjin up and then pushed him to the door.

"that was not cute, hyune"

"have a great evening babies!" mom laughed and i smiled, waving at them and immediately pushed hyunjin out of the house. i speed walked to the car, holding his hand. "they support us, don't they?"

"they do but that was embarrassing.." i whined a bit as we both got into the car. "you look beautiful by the way~" he chuckled, starting the car.

i looked into the mirror and i was as red as a tomato.

the whole ride, i was stressed.

what if jisung doesn't like me anymore? what if he's changed?

"baby, are you alright?"

"i'm scared he won't like me anymore.."

"i'm sure he will, why would you think that way?"

"nightmares"

"well, if he hates you he can't do anything about it. i know it's like a reunion, but if he doesn't like you anymore they wouldn't plan any more dates."

"no, if he hates someone it's fucking serious.. remember when you two almost fought?"

"oh."

we were finally at the restaurant, so we both got out of the car and walked towards the building. "they should be around here somewhere.." he said as he looked around.

after about half a minute, we finally found them. "minho hyung!" hyunjin waved, dragging me towards them "there you are! i'm fucking starving, let's go" jisung scoffed, grabbing minho's hand and we just quietly followed them inside the restaurant.

no "nice to meet you again" or "how are you?" or "how have you been?"

we all took our seats and made our orders, it was awkwardly quiet.

"so, jisung.. how have you been?" i asked, trying to start a conversation. "oh, i'm good" he smiled and then immediately his face dropped as he looked away from me.

i felt hyunjin's hand on my thigh, patting it a couple times. i looked at him and he smiled.

"hyunjin, how did you two meet?" minho asked. "we've known each other since high school and started dating from college"

"how about the two of you?" i asked. "not very updated, i see" jisung chuckled. "did i miss something?"

"jisung makes music with chan and changbin, i make choreos for them. that's how we met" minho smiled.

the whole time i just stared blankly at the table, or looked down to my hands, it was quite awkward.

it felt uncomfortable.

and jisung was making it worse.

he was so nice to me back in high school, we were best friends, we were inseparable.

i thought we would get along.

now he's being super mean to me.

maybe it really is opposite between the two worlds.

but, why are they dating in both worlds then?

woah it's feels like it's been a while since i last updated.
i have the whole story planned but i need filler chapters and shit to make this an actual book lmao
this chapter was super short but i wanted to make minho's character more fucked up so you'll see why they're "dating" in both worlds lmao
