Cold floor. Noisy city. The smell of coffee.
The first three things Felicia noticed when she woke up after a long sleep. The most important detail was Hobie Brown charging the coffee machine with a black americano capsule. The aroma of coffee wafted through the entire studio, making you forget about the pain in your head and the loud music.
The fifth thing Felicia noticed was that the house was in a terrible mess, as if a bunch of Spartans had passed through. She tried to stand up and felt something strange on her skin, soft material instead of her leathery, stretchy suit. She could joke about this with the spider, but the adventures of the past two days, and the days that she slept, did not leave in her, and a fraction of the jokes. Felicia began to remember what gave her a headache, a gift from the spiders, a collar with more than a viable charge for a human. She began to feel her neck, the damn collar was still there. Anger filled her, but the pain did not subside.
"Still hurts?" Hobie said, Felicia almost jumped in fright, she did not hear his steps.
"Where? " the only thing she could say with pain all over her body
"In my world, in my apartment, and on my floor" he sat down on the sofa "why are you on the floor?"
Felicia shrugged, and for a moment she felt like a little child, for a moment she was transported into the distant past with her mother in her world of which there was nothing left, and stone upon stone. The memory whipped through her, killing the spider, destroying Earth-130481, capturing her in the spider hole, and the mission where she was the bait. Felicia stroked the bandages wrapped around her neck with her hands, probably there was a terrible scar from such a charge.
"The collar is still on me, I need to choose the right words" - Felicia thought as she made an attempt to get up from the floor, but immediately collapsed back. Hobie picked it up in time and placed it on his couch.
"Miguel is still a moron" he got up and went towards the kitchen. The sound of the cumbersome music faded, and Felicia began to survey the hermitage. The apartment was furnished in an interesting style, the wall opposite the sofa was hung with vintage guitars, and there were drums in the corner. Felicia chuckled at the sight of a purple orchid on one of the windowsills.
"Coffee?" Hobie handed her a mug of freshly brewed coffee, she sniffed it, and out of the corner of her eye noticed how he was holding back a smile
"Spiders cannot be trusted, even those who smile so radiantly and innocently" - she repeated to herself over and over, but still took a mug of coffee from her hands.
"You... " a while later, she began to poke him in the face
"Get some more sleep" the sleeping pills in the coffee started to work too fast, faster than any poisons, her body weakened.
Maybe if she kills him, and everyone else feels better for her, except for Gwen. Everyone except Gwen.
Then that burden imposed by someone will fall from her shoulders.
A warm blanket. Smell of cinnamon. Dazzling light.
The first three things Felicia noticed when she woke up.
The fourth is Gwen
"Lici!" she exclaimed happily.
"Gwen" Felicia said hoarsely
"Do not make unnecessary sudden movements" Gwen warned her friend and sat down next to her on the bed
Felicia was happy with her campaign, Gwen personified a strong and young girl, and most of all she liked the determination in her eyes. She moved closer to her, as if looking for protection and answers in Gwen.
"Do you miss home, Gwendy?" the question took Gwen by surprise, she was about to put the cat back " just, I noticed your things around the house"
"Hobie allowed to stay with him, but" she stopped
"Did you leave someone important in your world?" Felicia took her friend's hands to her, in order to console her
"My father" Gwen betrayed, and trying to hide her sadness
"While I was passed out because of your neighbor, I had a dream, in my dream was my mother, and Peter"she laughed "my wedding with Peter"
"Jessica said that in dreams people see their alternate universes"
"Do you think my Peter would go down the aisle with me? " Gwen lay down next to her
"He was probably still in a white dress" Gwen burst out laughing.
"How did you guess" and the girls laughed with all their voices around the apartment
"Gwen" exactly a copy of her Peter stood in the doorway, with a child in her arms
"Hi, Peter" the smile did not leave her face, and infected the baby in the hands of a spider
"I just wanted to take one thing Mayday," she turned absently, "otherwise MJ will swear"
"Pretty baby, Pete," Felicia whispered.
"Leave her" The owner of the apartment showed up, he was quite silent, so it was impossible to determine how long he had been standing there
"Damn," Felicia exclaimed as Hobie escorted the others out.
"If it is difficult to speak, then it is not necessary" he sat down near the bed, being in his Spiderman costume
"Don't like my voice? " Felicia asked flirtatiously.
" Can I? " Hobie asked, wrapping his fingers in her curls.
"May you die from my kiss, Hobart Brown" Hobie was fixing her blanket, her old commandment about spiders evaporated in seconds
"Fine"
"Dare you kiss me after knocking me out days earlier." She turned away from his face.
"Miguel was supposed to come and make sure of your condition of the vegetable" his voice sounded excusable
"Send me back to the prison?"
"No"
" How dare you fall in love under these circumstances?" she muttered
"I don't deny it" he whispered in her ear "it's even more interesting" she blushed at his words and clung to him, feeling his warmth and affection
He's a hero, Felicia thought as she looked at him again in the suit, aware of his passionate feelings for her. She realized that she was too focused on survival and the past, that she missed the deeper connections she could make with people.

Hobie fell asleep in her arms, meanwhile Felicia found herself restless with anxiety. Those were difficult days, full of unexpected twists and turns. Felicia couldn't help but feel a sense of unease sweep over her. The unfolding events made her question everything she thought she knew. As she sat with Hobie in her arms, anxiety and fear swirled in her head. She couldn't bear the thought of what she had to do.
The air of the still sleepy city made it feel alive, Felicia was sitting on the railing of the landing.

"Thank Hobart for being alive at all" an eerie voice sounded in the darkness
"Thank you" Felicia said slowly,
"The death of your house, I understand your loss, black cat" A tall spider with a clear accent addressed her
"Are you opening your soul to me now, Miguel?" she quipped "we are not so close"
"No, I'm just worried about Hobie, getting involved with a mentally unstable woman is dangerous for him, " he continued " he is only nineteen"
"You are all the same" she stood up, her blond hair was gathered in a bun, the atmosphere around them was not pleasant
"How did you get here? " Miguel asked as he walked up the stairs to the roof
"I don't remember" she followed suit
"How did you survive?" he didn't stop and walked rather slowly
"I just need you to release this barbaric electric shocker" she wrapped herself in a blanket deeper and touched her bandaged neck, but immediately gathered herself and walked on
"I don't want to put you under any obligation for this, because I understand your actions"
"Grant me forgiveness" Felicia spoke in a tone of haughty and caustic
"You are to blame for everything, because of this you are sitting here now, Felicia, but you are forgiven" Miguel stopped, although there were a couple of steps left to the roof "after all, you will help us cope with all the mess that you have made"
"Collar" demanded Felicia
"No, it will remain, you will help Gwen and Hobie from time to time" said Miguel
"And you will let me hide, you know everything, Miguel" Felicia looked at him uncertainly
"Let Hobie play, and over time you will get bored with him, like your spider" Miguel, with an indifferent face, began to charge his watch
"Watch your mouth " before she had time to dig into his throat with her claws, he disappeared through the portal
