Trigger warning: Angst, smoking, eating disorders and not taking care of themselves and mentions of adoptions (I'm not really sure that's a TW but just in case)

Ducks POV:
We just finished moving everything in. Both of the other two are asleep but I can't, I feel awful about some reason and I'm getting these dreams or memories or whatever it is! I feel sick to my stomach... maybe some fresh air will help me?

Third-Person POV:
Duck grabs his coat and a pack of cigarettes... he knows that the pet hates it when he smokes but it comforting to him in a strange sick way. Duck walks to the front of the house not even realizing that Barnaby B. Beagle was also outside smoking away.

Barnaby's POV:
I'm outside enjoying the rain as I notice one of the new neighbors outside smoking as well. I grab my umbrella and walk over to the neighbor but he seems so out of it and there's tears in his eyes...

Trigger Warnings starts now!

Third-Person POV:
As Barnaby sits down next to Duck as they smoke together in the peaceful quiet as the rain softly falls
"Hello neighbor. How are you feeling?" Barnaby questions Duck as Duck looks at Barnaby shocked because he didn't notice him but he quickly recovers
"I'm fine, just thinking about some stuff."
"That sucks... you wanna talk about it?"
Duck looks at Barnaby and sighs "You wouldn't understand anyways..." Barnaby hears this and he pulls Duck in a hug before he starts to speak
"I understand lots of things." He says puffing out some smoke "... I'm scared of all these new changes and I feel some different and I don't want to feel different. I don't want my relationships to change... I probably sound so stupid right now..." Duck confesses as he wipes his tears away
"I know how that feels..." Barnaby says looking down at his new little green feathery neighbor "You do?" Duck says
"I was adopted... I didn't know until I was 14 years old. I cried for weeks because of it. I stopped doing anything other then crying... I completely stopped taking care of myself. But then I realized that I had my mother worried sick to the point where she had stopped... stopped eating or even taking care of herself because she was so worried about me. That day I realized that even if we weren't family by blood she still loved me and I love her." Barnaby says as Duck nods and pats him on the back before putting his cigarette out and going back inside as Barnaby leaves as well

Trigger warning ends now!

Third-Person POV:
Duck takes off his coat and throws his cigarette pack in the fireplace as he goes upstairs after taking a quick shower so he doesn't smell like smoke in the morning. He peacefully gets back into bed with the tall red one as he feels the pet in bed as well. Duck soon falls asleep as they all sleep peacefully and happy.
