Vance got up off the ground slowly. "Damn, you can pack a punch now."

I rolled my eyes and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt. Speaking low with venom laced in my voice. "What the fuck are you doing here?"

"Cause we need to talk."

Dropping his shirt I walked last to him to see the other guy from the gym silently watching us. "I don't want to talk, besides there's nothing to talk about."

Vance ran up behind me making me anxious about what he might do. "I was drunk that night. I know I wasn't supposed to be since I was driving you home that night, and I'm sorry."

Scoffing I turned to face him. "That's the excuse you can come up with?! You were fucking sober! I know because you hate sex when you're drunk!" His eyes grew in surprise that I still remembered that. Sighing I walked up to the door. "I don't have time for this shit show. I got things to do, and you have my Sister to do so don't come back."

Leaving him in the gym and closing the door I groaned and punched the closest thing next to me which happened to be a brick wall. Shaking my head I looked up at the guy still looking at me. I gave him the bird before walking back out to Dark, Shadow, Kyle, Echo, David, and Sierra. They all turned to look at me and come in.

"Who's idea was it to bring that Asshole?"

"Who?" Kyle gave a perplexed expression giving away that he knew nothing of him being here.

"Vance."

David choked on his water. "He's here?!"

I nodded and Kyle's fists formed into tightly white balls. Echo shook her head with disgust. Sierra's face went pale.

I pointed at her angrily, "You brought him here?"

She nodded. "He said he had to talk to you, to apologize."

My hands went up into the air. "Apologize?! That's the exact opposite of what he did! He tried lying about why he fucking slept with you! Making a damn excuse! Apologize my ass!"

Kyle snapped his fingers to get my attention. "You need to calm down before you hurt someone or something."

"How can I calm down when he's here and her?! They're the main reason I'm fucking here! Kyle I can't calm down!" My anger only rose more at being told to calm down.

A pair of hands wrapped around my waist pulling me into their torso. It was damp and smelt like sweat and expensive Cologne. "Calma Bella." His voice was low and was close to my ear making goosebumps down my arms and neck.

Pushing him off I went to stand behind Dark and Shadow. Focusing on my breathing I felt my anger start to turn into tears. I looked at Echo who was in return looking my way with concern.

'I need to get out of here. This is all too much right now.'

She nodded and grabbed her skateboard and grabbed me along with her taking us out of the warehouse. Turning to face me she hugged me. 'I'm sorry if I knew I wouldn't have had us come back early.'

'It's okay, where are we going?'

'The park until you get a text that it's okay to come back. I feel like it's about to turn until World War Three in there. Your brothers looked pissed off and Dark and Shadow's protective side was coming out big time when you came back out.'

'I just wish Kyle didn't bring her, he should already know their a packaged deal.'

'He didn't know Vance was even there, had no idea Sierra told him.'

Signing I nodded, 'I know.'

Smiling she dropped the skateboard and pulled me with her on mine. She's been trying to teach me because I thought it looked fun. I got as far as being able to stand on it after three weeks.

It's been four hours of us chilling at the park. We ended up playing tag with a few kids that came to the park. We went to a cafe and got some food to eat back at the park. Echo climbed on top of the playground and got stuck so I had to bring her back down. My phone went off. Picking it up I saw a text from Shadow.

The coast is clear, you both can come back now

I sent a quick okay and we were on our way back. Echo isn't a part of the Mafia, but she's the only person on the outside that knows that I am a part of it. She wasn't fond of the idea at first, but after she saw how they helped me be a happy person again she grew a liking to them as well. Especially since Dark and Shadow had the main people of their Mafia learn sign language so they can all communicate with her easily.

Coming back I saw my brother's car was gone. Feeling more at ease I walked into the warehouse to find Dark and Shadow talking with the mystery gym guy. He looked like he showered and changed. Now in a black suit with a tie that Dark was fixing. Echo pointed to them and I caught a glimpse of what I think is a new theory. They have a kid brother. They all look so alike that it would be hard to not think that.

Shadow smiled at us and waved. "Glad to see you two girls back. Come here and sit down."

Both of us did as we were told. Dark stood behind Shadow and the gym guy sat next to her. She sat up with authority meaning she was going to ask questions.

"So who is this Vance to you?"

Called it.

"Ex-boyfriend."

She nodded. "You didn't seem happy to see him, so I have to ask as the head of the Cortez Mafia. Has he ever laid a hand on you?"

I shook my head. "No, as much as I would love to say yes to that to teach him a lesson. He has never done such a thing. Vance cheated on me, that's what caused me to be so angry." That lie was easier said than the truth.

Echo smacked my arm, 'Bitch, the whole story. He was sleeping with your Sister and her best friend when he was supposed to be driving you home that night.'

Oh, Echo if only you actually knew the whole story.

Dark spoke up next. "And that girl that was with them was her?"

I nodded, "Yes, she is. Look I'm tired can I go get some sleep?"

"One more question." Shadow leaned over trying to look like a threat. "Where are your parents in all of this?"

Panicking I studdered. "Th-they um..." I felt myself shutting down more quickly than I thought possible. "Nowhere important." Getting up at a lightning pace I went to run for my room. My sanctuary.

Dark grabbed my arm and pulled me back making my heart race even more now. Shaking I looked away from him. "Callie, why are you shaking?"

My head swirled with memories I thought I had suppressed too far down to come back up. Feeling nauseous I tried to calm myself down. Voices started to sound like they were underwater as my vision became black around the corners.

I felt myself going further into my fear until Dark slapped me across the face. "Callie?!"

I froze not sure what to do anymore. Run or let it happen. He grabbed my shoulders and leveled with me. "Breath it's okay. We're sorry for asking."

Nodding I spoke softly. "C-can I go?"

Sighing he looked over at Shadow who nodded. Echo followed me to my room where I spent the rest of the night crying. Also, trying to drown away the unpleasant memories coming back up to the surface of what my life was before.
