Hope Back in Time

Chapter 2

Hope and Nik actually really enjoyed hanging out with Damon. They also noticed that he isn't messing around with Caroline this time either. They don't know if it was there friendship with him that changed that but they are happy it did. Neither of them are planning on doing anything to change what's going to happen unless they are asked to help for a while at least.

Hope and Nik are already regretting going to school now with how bored they are and how easy it is. Nik is spending most of his time with Sara and Hope spends a lot of time with them but also Bonnie and sadly that includes Elena. Outside of school they spend a lot of time drinking with Damon.

For the founders party Nik asked Sara to be his date which got him some teasing from Hope. She could tell he was really starting to like her as well. Hope surprisingly really liked her for her brother also. Hope can't explain it but she just feels like she can fully trust Sara. Hope and Bonnie were going together as friends since neither had dates, not for lack of interest in people who wanted to go with them. They just didn't have any interest in going with anyone.

Stefan has been really confused about what his brother is doing her and his friendship with Hope and Nik. But all he knows is that he has to protect everyone from his brother who clearly hasn't changed. He killed a couple on his way into town and coach Tanner and he also attacked Vicki. So when he noticed his brother go outside during the founders party he quickly followed him and vervained him and locked him in the cellar at the boarding house before going back to the party.

It was 4 days later when Hope and Nik went looking for Damon when they hadn't heard from him since the founders party. They walked into the boarding house and immediately went to the cellar. They see Damon in their looking terrible and can tell he has been vervained multiple times by his brother to get this bad off this quickly. "Damon oh my god hold we are getting you out of there." Hope says.

While Nik is opening the door Hope hears someone coming and sees Stefan. Right before he could vamp speed down to them to try and stop him she magically snapped his neck. "Did he really think he was going to stop us?" Hope asked incredulously

Nik shrugs "I have no idea what he was thinking. Why did he even feel the need to lock Damon up anyways? From what I know he has only killed a couple of people but has been feeding without killing for the most part." Nik says confused.

"He said he had to protect people from me so he was going to desiccate me for a couple decades." Damon says irritably only not attacking them with how hungry he is because he knows they will put him on his ass.

Hope turns to Damon "Does he know how painful desiccation is?" Hope asks horrified he would do that to his own brother. Damon just shrugs.

"Do you want to wait for Stefan to wake back up to get your ring or do you have a lapis lazuli stone for a daylight ring?" Nik asks. 

Damon is shocked that they have a spell to make daylight rings "Ya I have some of those stones." Damon says before walking up the stairs avoiding the sunlight to go get one.

When Damon gets back Nik spells the ring and gives it to him and Damon leaves to go feed and get his strength back. Hope and Nik are waiting for Stefan to wake up and for Damon to get back.

An hour later Stefan wakes up with a gasp and quickly looks around for Damon and is confused when he doesn't see him since the sun is still up. "Damon has gone to feed and get his strength back. We spelled him another daylight enchantment so he could go immediately." Nik says.

Stefan then rounds on Nik and Hope steps in front of him "Why the hell would you let him out? He is dangerous and doesn't care who he kills." Stefan yells angrily.

Hope narrows her eyes dangerously "First you better watch your tone and how you speak to me and my cousin. Second he is damn vampire of course he is going to drink human blood and kills a few people every once in a while. As long as he isn't killing to the point of exposure then I'm good with it." Hope says.
