(4) Dwarf Mine

“Dude, how did I end up in this mess? I swear
I was not lucky".— Ace said with a sigh.

The five of them were standing in the Chamber of Mirrors, the same one where the fire broke out.  [Name] looking around the room and somewhere else could be seen burnt pieces of wood and something else.

"We don't have time to complain, now let's go."-  Deuce said quickly before looking into the mirror that was levitating in the middle of the room, "Dark mirror!  Take us to the dwarf mine!"

Saying that, the mirror lit up brightly before their vision went dark.

The girl opened her eyes and realized that they were all in a dark forest or something like that, looking a little further, she saw a dark abandoned cave and an old house nearby.

  "So these are the dwarf mines."  - Diluc said, looking around, also noticing a small house surrounded by green moss and dust.

“A long time ago, this mine was full of magic stones…”- muttered the blue-haired one, also looking around the forest.

"Ugh, who knows what's down here right now?" - Grim said, clutching Diluc's pants while the guy just tilted his head and looked at the little monster, not knowing what to say.

“Hey, look, I see a house there. Let's see what people have to say." - Ace said as he walked towards the house with the others following him.

As soon as they were in front of the house, Deuce gently knocked on the door.

"Hello?... Is anyone home?" - Said the blue-haired boy.  In response, he was followed by silence and the guy took a deep breath, turned the handle and fully opened the door. “Hmm, it must be empty. Looks like it's been abandoned for a long time."

"Myah! I have cobwebs on my face!"  - said Grim, waving his paws and trying to clean the cobwebs from himself, but the (c/h) woman knelt before him and cleared his face.

"Th-thank you [Name]"

Ace then squatted down, noticing how small everything was. “Look how tiny these table and chairs are. Did the children live here?"- he said before counting. "One, two... seven! There are seven chairs here!" he exclaimed, standing up.

“Hmm... maybe Paimon can live here...” Diluc said bluntly, looking around the room, remembering the little white-haired girl.  [Name] giggled at her friend's comment and mentally agreed.

Deuce soon turned his attention back to the others.
“It must have been their home, the dwarves... lived here. When the mine prospered, I'm sure this house was a busy place."

“Well, that won't get us anywhere.  If we're going to find the magic stone, it must be inside the mine.  So let's go inside and take a look there."- Ace said walking out the door.

"Well, he wasn't wrong…"

They stood in front of the entrance to the mine, and looked around in surprise.

Grim looked frightened as he grabbed Dilyuk by the leg.  “Do you really want to go there?  It's pitch dark in there!"

Ace looked at him and grinned. "What? Don't tell me that you're afraid of the dark?

"I am not afraid of anything!"- Grim said at once, quickly releasing his grip.  "Now I'm taking the lead, so you all just follow me!"

"Well, lead."

"Hey, wait!"- Diluc called them, stopping these two

"Now what?"  Ace said, turning to face him.

"There's something there!" - said the blue-haired man and pointed into the darkness of the cave.

"Myah, again?!" -  Grim called as soon as the ghost appeared.
