(5) New Dorm?..

This chapter was written on August 23, I just stupidly forgot to click on the "Publish" button....

"I'm Sorry?! You say you went to the Dwarf Mine in search of a magic stone?"

Ace, Deuce, Grim, [Name] and Diluc were standing in a huge, silent Hall of Mirrors. In her right hand, the girl held a magic stone, for the sake of which they went into the mine.

"Uh..." Deuce said in confusion.

"Yeah?" Ace finished with a shrug.

An alarming chuckle escaped Crowley's throat. The girl felt her eyes twitch, "So I spent the whole evening preparing your expulsion papers!" Crowley's loud laughter echoed through the hall.

"Are you serious?! While we were fighting some crazy monster for you, did you just plan to exorcise us?!" Grim screamed as small sparks of blue fire erupted from his mouth.

Turning to face us, Crowley tilted his head in confusion, "Monster...?"

"Yes. There was a monster." Ace confessed, using his hands to inaccurately describe the height and build of the monster, "He was big, nasty, and had what looked like slime around his body. It nearly killed us!"

"Hmm...let's move this conversation to my office. Miss [Last name], could you tell the full story?"

"So yeah, that's basically what happened." The girl finished watching Crowley just stare contemplatively at the dark wooden table, trying to put the pieces of this abstract puzzle together.

"Hmmm. So, a mysterious monster lived in the mines. And the five of you worked together to destroy him and then brought me his magic stone?" Crowley summed up, and she nodded in agreement.

Ace, however, completely dismissed the collaboration: "Personally, I don't know if you can call it 'work together'..."

"It was more like we were just chasing the same goal at the same time..." Deuce muttered wearily as he looked at Head Mage. Diluc and [Name] gave them menacing looks.

"Oh my god..." Crowley muttered, frustrated. However, when the girl was about to open her mouth to say something, his frustrated tone turned into sobs. Tears dripped from under his mask and soaked his clothes.

Diluc looked at him in surprise before pulling a handkerchief from the sweater and handing it to the headmaster. The man, sniffing, looked at the red-haired man and, crying harder, took the handkerchief and blew his nose loudly.

The guys moved away from the Crow with disgust on their faces, and Grim jumped onto Diluc's shoulder.

"What is this guy up to?! Crying in public? At that age?!" Ace exclaimed as he stood next to the girl.

"For all the centuries that I have worked at this school... The day has finally come when the students of Night Raven College unite to defeat an enemy!" Crowley sobbed with happiness.

"Wow! No! There's no way I would ever join hands with that guy!" Deuce growled, pointing accusingly at Ace.

Ace gasped dramatically as he put his hand to his chest and raised his left eyebrow, "Okay, first of all, there was no joining of hands. Disgusting." Then he turned to Crowley, pointing his finger at him, "And secondly, how old are you, master mage?"

However, Crowley completely ignored his question. "At this moment, I am touched by the words. This incident proved that my hopes were justified," Crowley said with a dreamy look in his eyes, "Miss [Last name], my doubts have been dispelled! For you... you possess the talents of a beast master!"
