"Mae, I'm going!"

"Alright, take care! I love you"

"Will do, I love you too!"

I slammed the front door shut and walked to my car before slipping inside. I took my time to examine my car, missing the feeling of being here. It was the longest time I've taken a break from driving. Ever since I was with Mew, this baby was completely abandoned. And to think that now I was back behind the wheel again, I surely miss this.

I started the engine, hearing the soft roar that instantly makes me smile. I drove it out of the driveway and straight to the road, passing the neighbour's houses down to the hell hole I have to attend five times a week.

I parked it at my usual spot which thankfully was available, before killing the engine. I pulled down the mirror and tidy up my hair a bit before finally going out of my car. I saw Mew at his locker (which is just a few lockers away from mine), clumsily exchanging his book and stuff. I walked to my locker and did my thing, and almost have a heart attack when I saw Mew really close to me once while I was about to close the locker door.

"Jesus, what are you doing here?"

"Hi, best friend,"

"Hey, dummy," I said, chuckling at the weird tone he used for the word 'best friend'.

"Very nice of you, I'm flattered,"

"Well, I'm glad,"

"Have you seen Bright and Win?" He asked.

"Nope, shouldn't I be the one that asks you that?"

"Eh, dunno. Should we just head to the cafeteria and grab your usual milkshake then?"

"That's probably the best, they're slow asses anyway," I said causing Mew to chuckle. He slowly linked his pinkie with mine and though I knew we shouldn't, I didn't let go.

"This is still okay, right?"

"Just when none of them are here, yeah? I don't wanna create a mess and we both know that those two can be such drama queens,"

"Alright, fair enough for me," I smiled up at him and he tried to smile back though I could clearly see the pain in his pretty brown eyes. I squeezed his pinkie to show him that I'm just as sad causing him to smile timidly at me.

We parted ways as soon as we reached the cafeteria, him towards the queue while I go to our table. I sat there patiently, drumming my fingers quietly on the table. He came back soon after with two glasses of milkshake and I leant up to kiss his cheek in instinct. Both of us turned red as soon as we realised what just happened, sitting awkwardly while sipping on our drink.

"I'm sorry, t'was just my habit," I mumbled shyly.

"It's okay, I got it," He smiled back just as shyly before throwing his gaze back to his drink. We sat there in another awkward silence, sipping on our drinks while stealing glances every now and then to each other.

"What's up, bitches!?" Win loud voice boomed into the room.

"Hi, Win,"

"Hey, Kana. Hi, baby," He kissed Mew's cheek chastely and I tried my best to not cringe. Fuck!

"Where's Bright?"

"Dunno, haven't heard from him since this Sunday."

"Oh, I thou-"

"Hey, peasants," Bright said outta the blue,

"Hey, B,"

"Hi, Mew. Kana, I miss you," He pecked my lips quickly but I sat there frozen. He threw his arm around me, visibly pulling me closer to him. I looked up at Mew with wide eyes and instantly met with a faint pain swimming in his eyes. Double fuck!
