THE NEXT THING I KNEW IT WAS PITCHED BLACK.

When I finally woke up from my nap, I checked my phone, it was 2:57. My nap really took that long?

I look around to see that everyone is still in their seats, I slid the window up to look at the view. We were still at the sky. I slid it back down as I sigh in boredom.

Wish I was texting my brother. I go in my mind as I pull out a chewing gum so my ears wouldn't pop. The first time I ever went to Los Angeles, I never knew that your ears could pop and when we were in the middle of our flight, my ears popped so hard that I started screaming. True story.

When I get to Mexico and see my parents and brother, I know what their reaction would be. They'd be so happy to have their daughter back after me living in LA for 3 years.

I wonder what the new changes there will be. Will the good taste different? I have a feeling there will because when I got to LA and tried their Takis, it tasted actually better in there than here because it was more spicier.

Again, I was nervously rethinking everything that happened when I was down at the airport. I still can't believe that I'm actually going back to Mexico. I just can't stop talking about it.

I slid the window up and low behold, we have already made it to Mexico. I smile as I look at the orange roofs. I refuse to believe we were entering to Mexico.

We were just about to land as I squint my eyes shut because we were going down. It felt like a rollercoaster but on a plane. I never liked being on a roller coaster... that's why I stopped going to fairs.

And there goes. The hard bump as soon as we hit the ground. I nearly panic as I look at the window, we were speeding really fast until we stopped. As soon as we stopped, everyone got up and grabbed their luggage. I waited until everyone was out so I can grab my luggage in peace.

I walk down the isle of the airplane awkwardly until I got out of the plane and walked down the isle to the airport. I found my way out of here as I got to the exit of the airport line.

I made my way in the middle of the airport and tracked my brothers location. He was with my parents. Excellent.

I walked down to the office to get a taxi that was just for 15 pesos. Not bad. I waited outside for my taxi until I heard a Beep! knowing it was for me. I look at the moving taxi driving towards me. As soon as they got out of the car, grabbed my luggage and out it in the back seat. The nice man opened the door for me as I sat down and shut it.

The man starts driving and leaving the airport as I smile looking at the cars, people were behind the truck, selling corn, fruits, cheese, candies, etcétera. I was happy.

"Pa donde?" The man asks. He had a nice smile on his face, small eyes, he looked very tired. Which made me feel bad. "A H/A por favor."

"Claro. Eres de aquí o de un diferente parte de Mexico?"

"Soy de P/I/M."

"Ah. Escuché que es un pueblo muy bonito. Siempre quise ir allí porque supuestamente la comida era buena. Probablemente iré cuando esté en mi tiempo libre."

I felt bad that he couldn't go. I wanted to take him but barely knew the guy. I've only known the guy for 5 minutes and he's already being a sweetheart. We need more people like this in Mexico.

"Pueblo muy bonito. Todos allí nos amaban. Y como era un poco chiquito todos nos conocíamos."

"Eso suena bien. También odio arruinar tu charla, pero llegamos a tu casa." The man said. I look around to find the house and it was the right location.

"Oh si, cuanto de debo?"

"No te preocupes es por mi cuenta."

I gasp quietly as I look at the man shaking my head saying 'no'. Without hesitation I just gave him my money. He tried taking it back but I deny as I just put it in his pocket and leave. I couldn't just say, Oh your giving me the money back? Don't mind if I do then. It's rude.

"Oh sí, gracias por el paseo." I shout to the the driver who was giving me a big smile as I watched him drive away.

I sigh as I walk inside the gate which was surprisingly open. Doesn't my parents lock the gates and just ring the bell outside of it?

I walk to my parents front door. I was so nervous. I didn't see my parents in person for 3 years. It's going to be weird seeing them in person again. I slowly knock on the door and waited for someone to come open it.

No one wasn't answering the door. I was getting even more nervous the longer they take to open the goddamn door, the more I rethink my decisions on coming to Mexico and thinking it would be a good idea to come back.

I was about to walk away until I hear the door open and low behold, we both froze.

"Y/N?"
