Chapter 12

"Wake up. It's time for us to go."

I woke up Caleb.

"What's with the outfit?" Caleb asked.

"We'll I'm your secretary."

"Secretary?"

"You're Mr. Francis Villafuerte, a businessman and you are going to South Korea for a business trip. And I'm Alex, your secretary."

I turned around.

"You may want to change into something more suitable for a businessman."

"Done." he said.

I pointed to his tie.

"What is it? What's wrong?"

I went towards him.

"Your tie it is not fixed properly. There." I said as I fixed his tie.

"Thanks."

"If you want your eyeballs to stay in their place, don't look at me like that. 'Cause it will not work."

"Then will this work?"

He suddenly places his hand on my back and pulled me to him. He then looked me straight in the eyes. My heart started beating faster.

"Rule number one: Don't ever touch me unless it's a life and death situation. Is this a life and death situation?"

"No."  

I took a step back.

"Now, let's go. We cannot be late for our flight."

After the 4 hour flight, we arrived in Seoul.

"Now Mr. Villafuerte, let's test that Korean of yours that you are so proud of. You take the lead." I said to Caleb.

I let him take the lead from the airport to the hotel.

"Kamsahamnida." Caleb told the receptionist at the hotel.

I just bowed to the receptionist for respect.

"Here's the key to your room. It's just next to mine." Caleb said.

"Not bad Mr. Villafuerte. I'm impressed. You are good in Korean." I said.

"Thanks Alex."

I changed into casual clothes and went out.

"Where are you going?" Caleb asked.

He also changed into casual clothes.

"I'm going somewhere." I said.

"I want to come with you."

I went to Aether that day with Caleb. Aether is like our ambassador in South Korea. We have agent ambassadors in other countries too. What they do is they assist agents when we go to another country in terms of arms and strategies. And they also have cases that are assigned to them.

"Athena-ya!"

Aether welcomed me with a big smile and a hug.

"Oppa!" I said as I hugged him back.

"How are you?"

"I'm fine. How about you? Still not married?"

"I'm still waiting for your reply."

"Oppa!"

"Seriously, with all the cases I handle, I no longer have time for it. Wait, is this the guy?"

"Yup."

"Caleb right? I'm Aether. I'm just like Athena but I'm stationed here in South Korea."

"Yes. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too. Come inside."

"I bought teokbokki and soju. I know these are your favorite." Aether said.

"You really know my favorites. But let's save that for later. Let's talk business first." I said.

"You're flying to Jeju-do tomorrow noon?"

"Yeah. We need to go there before Thomson leaves. He'll be leaving tomorrow at around 10 pm. But there's something fishy about Thomson and South Korea."

"What's fishy?"

"Based on Hermes' research, he keeps coming back to South Korea at least 4 times a month. You know he doesn't come back to a country that often."

"I know the answer to that."

"What?"

"Love."

"Love?"

"Her girlfriend lives here in Korea. Ciara Kim, she's a hotel heiress."

"Are you sure that it is love? Ciara Kim is a hotel heiress. He might be using her for money."

"You do have a point. Here. Here are the other things Hermes told me to research and here are your weapons. Be careful okay?"

He hand Caleb and I our weapons.

"Of course. Komawoyo Oppa."
