Chapter Six: Forever lost?

I took a deep breathe so I wouldn't end up hurting Sonic. "Why does it matter? I'm not bothering you, your not tied down like you wanted." I mumbled turning to Shadow and nuzzling his chest fur slightly. He purred and kissed my head softly, he was very gentle for someone who looked mean. I watched as Sonic looked even more hurt as he bit his lip.

"You got something to say?" Shadow asked as he looked at Sonic with narrow eyes. Sonic nodded and sighed, "Amy I love you. This only happened because I was scared..." Sonic said moving closer to me. I moved closer to him and stroked his cheek. "Sonic if you were truly afraid you wouldn't have went to Sally. Now you have her, and I have Shadow. We can both be happy." I grinned being able to touch him like this.

If only he'd let me do it earlier, then I felt something I thought he'd never do. I felt him nuzzle my hand lightly, a slight stream of tears fell upon my hand. "Im so sorry Sonic..." I mumbled as I caressed his cheek more. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Shadow blushing and looking off from us, I didn't understand why.

"Now lets stop with the sadness, come on Sonic. Go apologize to Sally and make everything better!" I told him cheerfully as I patted him on the back. Sonic nodded and gave me that sad face I'd just recently seen.... it was heart breaking....

I hugged him tightly and swung him around lightly as I laughed. He was so light and adorable, I just wish we had these strong feelings for one another when we needed them. "I think Sally was at my house when we last spoke, she might still be there with Cream now." I said as I took my phone out of my pocket and saw that it was around 10:55 am.

"Come on now, before Sally decides be leave." I started walking ahead in the direction of my house, it was a five minute walk. Nothing too far if you ask me, close behind me was Shadow and Sonic glaring daggers at one another as they followed behind.

Shaking my head and sighing I kept my eyes on the hoping they wouldn't hurt one another, so childish. When I finally turned to see where I was heading I was met with the sound of screeching, and then pain and darkness.

"AMY!"

"ROSE! WAKE UP!!"

I heard familiar voice screaming my name and frantic breathing, all I could do was drift into the darkness and listen. I felt someone wrap their arms around me and feel for my pulse

'I'm fine... Why are you all so frantic' I thought as if I were trying to speak it out. "AMY CAN YOU HEAR ME!" I heard someone yell. 'O-of course... why wouldn't I be able to?' I thought but all that came out my mouth was a jumble of nothingness.

"She's still breathing, that's all that matters. Call 9/11 and stop staring like your a dumb ass!"

'Shadow.... it had to be... Shadow.' I tried to reach my hand out to his face but all my body let me do was flinch on pain.

"Don't strain yourself, everything will be alright soon...." He mumbled rubbing my face, I could tell from his very light strokes.... that I must've been beat up bad. Moving my head slightly I felt more pain tense through my body.

My senses began to fade away slowly but surely and the last thing I remember was hearing the sound of sirens coming near me.

Then a couple of slurred words I didn't understand, but soon I would.

"Uhhh." I groaned lightly and turned my head over confused, I fluttered my eyes open to meet a bright white wall. The intensity of the white was so high that my eyes started to hurt. I tried to move my arm but I was restrained by something. "Wha-"

I looked down to see my body with needles and tight bandages, "What happened?"

I continued to look myself over in confusion and slight terror, until I heard the door to my room creak open slightly. Glancing to the door I saw a worried Shadow and Sonic slowly making their way in.

"Good your awake." Shadow smiled as he walked to the left side of my bed, Sonic followed sue and went to the right.

"W-what happened?..." I mumbled out looking up at Sonic. He looked down at me with an upset face, "Y-you got into a car accident. Because Shadow wasn't watching you enough." Shadow growled, "You shouldn't have been trying so hard to pick a fight blue blur!"

"Hm? Well it's alright, as long as my Sonikku is with me." I smiled and blushed looking at him. "What?!" Shadow said confused. I saw Sonic smile as he lent on the rim off my bed and stroked my face. "Of course I'm here for you." He laughed.

A nurse walked in holding some documents and gave us all a sweet smile, "Good morning Ms.Rosé, how are you feeling?" She asked gesturing to me. "I-I'm fine. Just confused is all..." I said smiling.

The nurse sighed and gave a sad look, she looked back and forth between Sonic and Shadow. "Well... we ran some test and she has a minor case... of amnesia..." The nurse mumbled looking back to me.

At that point I was looking at Sonic and smiling.... he came to make sure I was ok... Thank you.

"That's more than likely she doesn't remember the relationship she had with you Mr. Shadow. And she's converted back to have strong feelings for Sonic." The nurse bowed and took her leave.

Sonic looked over to Shadow with a smug look on his face, "You've been forgotten." Sonic laughed and walked back over to me as he played with my hair causing me to purr.

"Don't get cocky hedgehog." Shadow said before coming over to me, he rubbed my cheek and I blushed. For some reason.... that felt right.
