Chapter Eight: Almost

The day had gone by so quickly, but I was still racking my brain. Every once in a while somebody like Tails, Cream or even Rouge would come to check up on me. I left a spare key under the door so they could get in. However my main concern was getting information about my relationship with both Sonic and Shadow.

"Your relationship with Shadow?" Rouge perched her lips slightly in thought. "Im sorry to ask like this and all." I Sighed lightly. Rouge laughed reassuringly. "Dont worry about it love. I know that bump on the head gave ya a shake. But all I can say is that you two started hanging out more." She smiled at me.

"Hmm. Like closer friends?" I asked really happy I was getting somewhere. "I really wish I could tell you love, but that stubborn hedgehog gets defenesive when I ask about you." Rouge pouted playfully which made me blush.

"Thanks Rouge, I'll ask around and keep racking my brain." Smiling I tapped my head lightly. Rouge stood and dusted her outfit slightly, "Glad I can help. Youve got this in the bag Amy, I know you'll figure it out." I nodded to her and stood up as well as I walked to the door to escort her.

After escorting Rouge I went to my room and fell face first onto my bed nuzzling the sheets. "A quick nap might help jog up my memory a bit." I mumbled before slipping into dream world.

Creak. Creak. Creak.

I opened my eyes lightly as I felt something warm wrap around me. Nuzzling it I smiled, and I heard a slight chuckle. Jumping slightly I sat up quickly to come face to face with Shadow.

He had his arms wrapped around me lovingly as he smiled, "Your so cute when your resting." His smile made my heart flutter, unsure why I pulled him into a soft hug. "Your so warm." I found myself saying as I smiled.

It all felt so right... all of it. The hug and loving gestures. Shadow hugged me back and rubbed my back slightly. "Do you remember?" He asked kissing my head. I shrugged.

"Not sure. I feel I do though. This feels right." I mumbled blushing because of the kiss. He smiled rubbing mu cheek lightly, I nuzzled his hand happily. "I love you Amy Rose. Maybe that will restart your memory." He smirked laughing.

I went deep red as I covered my face, "You love me?" He tilted his head playfully. "I luv Chu." He said cutely in a soft voice. It made me blush even more as I giggled. "I luv chu too." I said in the same little voice.

I do love him. My memory started to seep back slowly to me... and they were warm loving memories. But there were also some painful memories... "Sonic." I mumbled softly as I nuzzled Shadow's.

"Tsk. You remembered that mess too huh?" Shadow sighed. I nodded but smiled, "I saw more love then mess." Shadow smiled and kissed my nose softly, making me shiver happily.

"I feel like im watching a cheesy love movie." I heard someone mumble from outside the window by my bedroom. "Eh??" Turning I came face to face with a noisy and smirking blue blur. "Sonic???!!!" (Ohmergawd!!) I yelled sittung up so quickly I headbutted Shadow back onto the floor. I knocked him out. Oops.

Sonic chuckled and sped around to the front door and let himself in. While I worked on trying to wake Shadow. "Wakey wakey!!!" I shouted as I shook him.

Nothing.

"Crap." I sighed seeing Sonic standing next to Shadow. "I see you remebered. What a shame." Sonic cooed. I rolled my eyes lightly but found myself smiling widely.

"Why so cheery?" He asked tilting his head. "I also remember roasting yours and Sally's butts at the cafe. And rejecting you. And seeing you beg." I chuckled causing Sonic to go a slight tint of red.

I stood up dusting myself. "That would have been my fantasy. But now I have a new one." I gestured to Shadow.

Knocked out.

Sonic nodded. "Yeah. Guess so. But..." His words trailed off as he made his way to me. Backing up I got ready to fight back. Sonic had me cornered against the wall as he smiled. "I'll miss my Rose." He said before speding off out the door.

A small paper left behind in the spot he was standing. I picked it up and read over it. "You sneaky little hedgehog." I mumbled reading over it again.

As I did I heard Shadow grumbling as he woke up. I turned my attention to him and smiled. "Shadow." I smiled lightly as I crouched next to him and stroked his head. "Damn your hard headed." He mumbled as I rolled my eyes laughing.

He took a look at the paper in my hand. "What's that?" He asked leaning up off the floor. I showed him the paper so he could read it. After he finshed it he had this annoyed look on his face.

"Were not going too. Are we?" He asked. I nodded with a confident look. "Oh yeah we are." I smirked which made Shadow blush and cover his face lightly.
