5 • Night Together

- Zelda's POV -

     Although it was embarrassing asking him, I'm glad I did. I was here before him, wearing my llama pajamas. I had given him some penguin pajamas, even though he probably had some of his own. I missed my father, despite it being hardly more than 24 hours since I came here. It's alright, though. I have Link, and that's all I could ask for. He looked absolutely hilarious in his pajamas. In a good way.

     "Well, do you want to watch a movie?" I suggested. I decided to act like this was a sleepover, as I'd never been to one.

     "Fine by me."

     I turned on the small television, and we were flipping through movies, trying to find one. "Wait! Go left.."

     "This one?" He stopped on the newly released 'Curse of Calamity' movie.

     "Yeah. All of my friends have been talking about it, so I want to see it. I didn't even know it was streaming already."

     "I didn't expect you to choose a horror movie, but that's great. I was actually planning on seeing it at some point."

     "Oh. If I'm interfering with your plans, we can-"

     "No, no. It's fine." he quickly stopped me. I motioned for him to come and sit, penguin between us. He pulled the blanket over us. It was very comforting.

     He started the movie as I dimmed the fairy lights. The movie started, and I had already started eating the popcorn. Link had some, and before long, the jump scares had started rolling in. I got terrified by the first one. I think Link was more scared by my reaction than the movie.. I scooted towards him, grabbing the penguin as I leaned on his shoulder. This was the best night ever...

- Link's POV -

     The movie was surprisingly good so far, but I was more enjoying Zelda's company. She got awfully spooked by some of the jump scares, so I let her get closer to me if it comforted her. At first I was hesitant of watching a movie, but I'm glad I agreed. I could tell she was getting tired, but I didn't expect her to fall asleep.

     Sure enough, though, near the end of the movie, she had fallen asleep. I didn't want to wake her, as she seemed comfortable. I turned down the volume, so she could keep sleeping.

     Eventually, the movie had come to an end. It would be quite difficult to move her to her room, so I decided to just.. Stay here.

     I turned off the TV, and adjusted the blanket. It was very cozy here. It felt nice, laying here with Zel. Her head on my shoulder, like a loving embrace. It was great. I closed my eyes, and slowly fell asleep.
