Joseph stopped right at her door contemplating on just turning around and going away. He sighed. Lucifer. For him.

" Aurora," he called. She didn't answer him. He sighed twisting the knob and pushing the door open. Her room was lightened by the morning sun, the curtains had been drawn, the full glass walls staring out at the entire city in a distance. She was sitting in front of one of the walls. Her knees tucked underneath her.

" You don't have to apologize, it wasn't a lie I'm getting too comfortable." She said, shaking her head. Joseph stopped right next to her before lowering himself next to her.

" I didn't mean it as an insult. It's not your fault. I just don't get why I can't being myself to think of your absence." He chuckled shaking his head.

Her presence was very contagious. He had gotten used to seeing her around their space, listening in on their whispers, glaring at them.

Was it love?

It was warm, spreading across his chest but how possible was it, to feel such a strong emotion towards someone in just a few days.

" There's only four days left." She smiled softly at him.

" No, there isn't," she frowned.

" You can stay as long as you want, without the option of leaving." He stated firmly.

" Will you kill me?"  Joseph rolled his eyes at the sarcastic and witty woman.

She was young but her words were older.

" Maybe." He settled for just that. He wasn't sure of his emotions yet. Their feelings towards her. He just knew they didn't want her out of their lives. And if killing her was an option then so be it. He'd gladly bury her in their house knowing her corpse rested in their bosom.

" Come on, we need to eat." He got up, stretching out his arm towards her.

She got up but a pain shot through her stomach. She clutched her stomach, a small cough came out of her lips followed by the red liquid trickling down her chin. She cried in more pain as black clouded her vision.

Joseph's eyes widened,  before he caught her small figure into his arms. He hurriedly walked out the room with her body limp in her arms.

" Lu!" He descended the stairs. Lucifer turned holding a glass of water, which slipped from his grasp as he watched the scene in front of him.

" Hospital, she's bleeding!" Joseph's panicked tone had him running up the stairs to get something to wear. He didn't take less than a minute before running down the stairs and getting the keys.

They both stepped out, Joseph getting in the back seat of their car, he held her tightly against his chest, her blood staining his shirt.

What was wrong?.

She was fine  and the next minute, she was coughing blood.

Joseph carried her effortlessly into the hospital. The nurses wheeled a bed towards them, before taking her on it and pushing it away.

Their personal doctor tried to calm them down.

" What happened?"

" She - she was fine and then she felt a pain in her stomach, before she started coughing blood." Joseph's memory flashing back to how discomforted she looked, how much pain her eyes were giving away.

The doctor nodded before going after the nurses into the emergency room.

Lucifer was shaking. What if she died?. How was he going to live knowing he didn't take care of her enough.
