It's been a few weeks since our first pre-tournament game. Tomorrow was our first actual tournament game. Tonight however, we had a banquet dinner sort of thing where all the teams and coach are in a fancy room and we all have dinner so that there isn't any "bad blood". I think it's a little too late for that after pre tourney game 1... but anyways we currently have 5 hours before we have to be at the event so I decide I should start getting ready. The rest of the team is in the living room, probably watching the sports channel on the tv or playing video games.
As I'm getting my clothes out for the night there is a knock on my bedroom door.
"Who is it?" I ask from inside my closet.
"It's your favorite person on this team."
"Moose??" I say sarcastically
"Ha ha very funny." Rutger says walking into my room and plopping down on my bed
"Your already getting ready?" He asks.
"Yep. If I don't now we'll probably be late." I say
"I'm not even gonna ask." Rutger says "You excited for tonight?" He adds with a smile
"Eh. Little nervous. I'm excited tho. I'm just not sure how it's all gonna go with me being the only girl." I say coming out of my closet and laying my dress on my bed next to Rutger.
"Well, if anybody tries anything I'm here. You'll be ok." Rutger says standing up and giving me a hug, sensing my nerves.
"Thank you Rut." I say smiling at him before walking over to my vanity and starting my makeup.
3 hours later my hair and makeup is done and I just need to change. I chill in my room with Rutger for about an hour before putting my dress and heels on.
