The Chaos Between Us

Chapter 1

I've been hiding here for months. Inside my pocket dimension, away from those damn scientists. The heat of the chase should have cooled down by now, it's time for me to return to Mobius. I need to find Shadow the Hedgehog and explain to him our purposes. Then hopefully, if he is willing, the both of us work together to protect Mobius from large threats. I open the portal from my pocket dimension to Mobius and step onto the dirt of a forest. 

My turquoise wolf hair gently flows in the slight breeze. I fix my blue jacket with white puffy sleeves, that is covering the top portion of my black jumpsuit, before doing a couple of small taps on the ground with each of my blue boots that match my jacket. I fix my combat belt which is around my waist and then I twist my inhibitor rings tighter onto my wrists so that they do not fall off. After taking a few moments to stretch and prepare, I take off at high speeds to find the nearest city to start my search for Shadow. I found a huge and very busy city after about fifteen minutes of high-speed running. I teleport to a skyscraper and look down at the busy city.

Where do I start my search? Should I presume that he is still in his stasis sleep? Or should I presume he has awoken? Perhaps checking into a system like police records should be a good start. Suddenly, I see a blue streak flash before me. I am instantly on my guard and trying to figure out what it is. I then see a blue hedgehog with emerald green eyes wearing white gloves and a pair of red shoes with a white buckle strap and gold-like buckles. It was the one and only Sonic the Hedgehog. He looked just as surprised to see me as I was to see him. I relax and cross my arms and look at him with a raised brow. "Well well, if it isn't the blue blur himself, Sonic the Hedgehog! Fancy meeting you here!" I chuckle in amusement at the unexpected meeting, though I am honestly happy to meet him. He's the Hero of Mobius, why wouldn't I be excited to meet him? He's the type of hero I want to become while being side by side with Shadow. "Hey there! I guess there's no need for me to introduce myself huh? *chuckles* What is your name, friend?" He asked me as he leaned in a bit closer to me with a hand on his chin with a raised brow of his own. I chuckle at the sight. 

"My name is Kaila, Kaila the Wolf. Nice to meet you Sonic. What are you up to?" " Nice to meet you too! I'm just on a run, nothing special. What are you up to Kaila?" He asked me as he leaned backward and put his hands behind his head. "Well actually, I'm looking for someone. Someone that is important to me in a way-" I begin to explain before he interrupts me with teasing. "Oh! So you're looking for a crush? *laughs* Just kidding with you." He jokingly teased me. "No! He's someone I need to find as soon as possible! It's a serious matter and it's important that I find him as soon as I can! I... just don't know where to start my search. I highly doubt you would know him. From what little I know about him, he's like a total recluse and doesn't like people all that much." I tell and explain to him as I also sort out my thoughts through this explanation. 

"His name wouldn't happen to be Shadow, would it?" He asked me with a slightly more serious expression and tone of voice. I was stunned. Did he know about Shadow?! Unless, Sonic and Shadow have met before! So maybe Sonic could help me find him! "How did you know? Do you know him?!" I ask him with so much eagerness in my voice that it surprises us both. I then chuckle sheepishly with a little bit of blush on my muzzle from embarrassment while he lightly laughs at my eagerness and my embarrassment. "Sorry, I just really need to find him." I apologize as I calm back down to my normal calm self. "That's alright, I understand. And yes, I do know Shadow. He and I go toe to toe in battle on occasion. Either because something I do makes him mad and he wants to kill me for it; or he just hates me in general. I think it's both sometimes. *chuckles* I hope I'm not being rude by asking this, but what do you want with faker?" He asked me with curiosity. 

"I need to talk to him privately about some personal and private topics. It's um... pretty life changing stuff... and he needs to know." I explain to Sonic the best way I can without revealing too much information. "Ok, then." He said with a shrug of his shoulders. Thank goodness he wasn't the type of guy to push themselves into other people's business. "You said that you didn't know where to look, right? What if I help you find him?" Sonic suggests with a smile. "Really? You will help me find him? Even though, from the sounds of it, you both are rivals of sorts?" I asked him a bit excited and surprised. "Of course! That's what friends do! And we're friends now, aren't we!?" He said as he held out his fist to me for a fist bump. I bump his fist with my own with a smirk. "Of course we are!" I tell him with a chuckle.
