"What's Wrong?" (🌧) (☁️)

(F/f) - favorite flavorThe house was silent. It was odd. The lovey-dovey couple was seen to be standing apart from each other, never staying in each other's presence. What happened? Well, they just came from a fight from not so long ago.
In all honesty, Maria was tempted to jump into his arms and apologise multiple times but whenever she looks at him, he would look so out of it...
Maria decided to bake a small cake that was (f/f) and apologise for what she said and hopefully they can make up quickly. She knew it was normal for couples to fight but this was the first time they had an actual fight.
She stood in front of the room's doorway, the room you both shared.
She knocked lightly, signalling that she was coming in.
(Y/n) was there, by his desk probably sketching something, judging by the sounds of pencils coming from him.
"(Y/n)?" She called out, the response she got was him stiffening in his seat.
"I'm sorry for what I said a while ago..." She apologised placing down the slice of cake on his desk.
He still remained motionless.
"(Y/n)?" She called out once again, placing her hand by his shoulder.
He flinched and turned to her with a troubled look.
"What..happened?" She asked slowly.
Tears suddenly went streaming down his face and Mari panicked by this sight. She quickly engulfed him in a hug, rubbing his back in a up and down manner.
"Sh sh, I'm here, what's wrong?" She asked softly.
(Y/n) shook his head, staying in his position from the hug.
Mari furrowed her eyebrows in concern for her boyfriend.
In the end, Maria never found out why he suddenly broke down and whenever she would try to ask, he would quickly change the topic.
To be honest, he also didn't know why he cried the moment he saw Maria. But he did remember some past memories flashing through his mind and it made him feel like shit.
Due to trauma that (Y/n) had, he couldn't remember much of his past with his ex-lover.
But I will say this, he was abused verbally and physically from his ex-lover. It haunts him through his memory and doesn't know how to get over it.
