Chapter three

MEETING THE OTHER SPIDERS

          MATTHEO and the others watch the hologram changes, a universe exhibits as the tape glitches. buildings collapse, a crowd of people starts to run away but some have disappeared before they could even move their own. His eyes widen when Miguel ran with the other civilian, he looked lost, crestfallen, with his kid in his arms.

He shifted uncomfortably when the child looks exactly like his niece. Miguel wasn't wrong.

"Dad, help me." his eyes shut completely when she disperses into thin air.

Every color of the hologram reflects onto Mattheo's eyes when he once again opens his eyes  "You break enough canon and we could lose everything." everything disappeared and immediately lights go back into the room, "So we really can't save everyone, huh?" Miguel forced his head to nod.

"I can't force you to join. Believe me, I recruited some and they only lasted a couple of weeks." Miguel explains, feeling disappointed.

Mattheo rests his hand on his hip "Are you joking? I left my niece with her mother's care so I could join you. Believe me, that woman couldn't live without Me. Of course, I'll join." he says in determination, Miguel couldn't but smirk in amusement, shaking his head as Jess laughs, patting Mattheo's shoulder.

"Heads up! Baby on a loose!" Everyone whipped their heads when a baby came in with a web shooter on her chubby tiny wrists. He heard Miguel sighing tiredly and surprisingly sat on his chair as they watch the baby crawl over the wall upside down, giggling before dropping herself, Mattheo immediately panics, and slightly ran, catching her in his arms.

A man, with pink robes and a baby carrier on his chest, made his way with a sheepish grin "Sorry about her, I'm just letting her try the gadget I've been working on." he spoke, slightly embarrassed to see the recruit carrying his child. He carefully took the gadget off her wrist much to the baby's protest.

"I'm Peter B. Parker, you must be the recruit that Miguel took in," he speaks up, observing Mattheo secretly.

"Yeah... Mattheo Molina." He introduces. Peter B. hummed "Mexican, perhaps?" he asks, the boy let out an awkward chuckle, shaking his head "No... Colombian." he uttered with a small smile.

"Bwah!" Mayday exclaims before looking directly onto his eyes, giggling. The baby immediately snuggled on his chest comfortably "Huh. Mayday likes you." Peter B. said with slight surprise, he watches Mattheo rocking her gently causing the baby to yawn slowly, eyes starting to get droopy.

"I don't need a babysitter since he's here now." Peter B. told Jess, laughing slightly.

Miguel looks over at Mattheo who also glances up to look at him, the man nods his head in acknowledgment "Welcome to the Spider Society, Mattheo."

      Wordlessly, Mattheo has been quiet. A slight tinge of unfamiliarity as he followed Jess into the cafeteria, the sensation of his skin crawls with the feeling of eyes piercing through his form when he walked beside Jess. "Is it always like this whenever there's a recruit?" He asks Jess, the woman chuckles, nodding to his question, and took a tray when they've arrived.

She handed a tray to Mattheo who thank her immediately as he took it from her hands. She leads him to the area where food is placed on their specific pan. Mattheo looks at the burger weirdly when he examines it "This is...?" A web suddenly attached itself to his food and swiftly seized the burger from his hand, whipping his head immediately to the owner of the web.
