============================

I wake up to golden sunlight peeking through my windows. I sit up, my eyes still closed as I run my finger through my hair to try and tame it. I start to doze off, but a knock on my door wakes me up.

"Seungmin? Your parents have requested your presence downstairs." I groan.
"Tell them to wait, like, ten minutes." I sigh comes from the other side of my door.

"As you wish." I get up, opening my curtains in an attempt to wake myself more, and shuffle into my bathroom. I look in the mirror blinking the sleep out of my eyes as I comb my hair. I part it to the side, combing it smooth. I sigh, remembering why I am awake so early and simultaneously realizing I should have washed my face before doing my hair.

"Fuck it." I mutter to myself, splashing cold water into my face. I dry my face, looking into the mirror, and re-combing my hair. I walk out of the bathroom and put on my freshly pressed suit. I glance at myself in the mirror before pulling on my shoes and walking downstairs to meet my parents.
"Ahh, Seungmin there you are! She'll be here any minute! Hurry, come here." She motions me over to her, wiping my face and smoothing my hair.

"Agh, mom, stop." As I finish, the large doors of our castle open and in walks a man, a woman, and a young girl. The girl approaches me, and curtsies. I bow back to her as my parents introduce themselves to her parents. She smiles at me and says.
"My name is Wang Yiren."
I smile back at her, hoping it doesn't look too forced, and say
"My name is Kim Seungmin."
I bow my head slightly and suggest.

"Should we go for a walk in the garden?" She smiles and nods.
"Mom? Dad? We're gonna go into the garden." I gently tell them as not to seem disrespectful, though I already don't care either way. My mom nods, looking optimistic in a way that she thinks I'm slowly warming up to the thought of marriage, although I'm already forming a plan in my head that I will soon put into action. I guide her out to the garden, and she seems a bit shy.

"Wow, it's beautiful out here." I smile at her, and say.
"Yes. My Mom planted it all herself over the past few years. Gardening is her forté,"

Yiren nods, as I walk her through the rows and rows of flowers, bushes, and trees. We come to an area where two trees with purple flowers form an arch over the walkway. She smiles, her eyes lighting up as she looks up at the arch. I smile at her, but then she takes my hand.

I inhale uncomfortably, but smile at her as we keep walking. I'm doing a lot of smiling today. We finish our walk in the garden as her parents find us, and tell us she has to go.
Finally. I think to myself. I smile for the 1000th time today as she walks out leaving me in the garden. I sigh, hanging my head in my hands as I remember my sister's wedding.

~FLASHBACK hehe~

The noises around me grow loud as the music begins to play at my sister's wedding, and princesses start to find their princes, slow dancing to the music that has started to play. I looked around to see if anyone would notice if I slipped away. Seeing no one, I slowly walk out of the big ballroom, down the long hallway, residing in a large guest room that never gets used. I come in and lay on the couch, closing my eyes to decompress from the loud ambience of the ball, and I hear the door creak open.
"Hello?" I ask into the dark. The room is only illuminated by the moonlight shining in through the large window behind the couch.
"It's okay, it's only me."
"But who is 'me'?" I hear a laugh from the shadows as a boy walks into sight. His black hair shines in the silver moonlight, and he smiles at me.

"I'm Jeongin. I'm from the Kingdom up North? I don't think we've met." I smile at him, his presence just seems to make me happier. He smiles back at me as I get up and walk closer to him. He reaches his hands out, laying it on my waist. Putting my hands on his shoulders, we slowly start swaying around the room, following the rhythm of the muffled music that we hear through the walls. The boy looks at me with a focused face as our eyes meet. His doll-like features perfectly fit his aura.

His dark brown almost black eyes reflect the moonlight, making a tiny galaxy in his eyes. His defined features perfectly fit him, giving him a serious look, almost fox-like. As I'm inspecting his features, he smiles.

"You look mesmerized." I scoff.
"How could I not be? You're stunning."

It's dark, but I can clearly see him blushing in the dim moonlight. Slowly our bodies drift closer to each other.
"Is..This okay?" I ask softly. He nods, and we almost kiss before the door creaks open. We push each other away, and hear a voice that says.

"Seungmin? What are you doing in here?"
"I-uh-I'm just decompressing. It's really loud out there, Mom?" The sentence ends as a question which doesn't help the fact that she's supposed to believe what I just said.
"Alright, that's fine." The door closes.

"I'm sorry, it's just that-my parents and-" He smiles at me.
"I understand..But I should-I should go.." He says
"Please-" I start but Jeongin just smiles at me.
"This won't be the last time we meet. I promise, Seungmin. I will go to you like the first snow.."
