5 months later........
Nia huffed in frustration as she watch Mathew trying to put the baby crib together. "Why don't you read the directions." She suggested for he tenth the time.
Mathew shook his head. "I go it." He struggled to screw in the bolt in the hole.
Nia leaned over to see what's he's doing. "That's the wrong hole. You supposed to put it in the hole under it."
Mathew sighed and screwed it in the correct hole. He chuckled. "That's what she said."
Nia rolled her eyes. "You're so childish." She opened the book to the directions. "If you read the directions, you wouldn't have this problem." she mumbled.
Mathew rolled his eyes and stretched out his hand. "Give me the book." he said in defeat.
Nia smiled at her victory and put the book in Mathew's hand. "I hope our son read directions." Nia put her hand on her huge stomach. "Two more months until he comes out." She sighed.
Mathew stood up and stretched out. "Yup. Two more months until waking up late at night to feed the little thing." He tapped Nia's stomach. The baby kicked the spot which made Nia hiss. "What's wrong?" Mathew asked with concern.
Nia shook her head. "Its okay. The baby just kicked the hell out of me."
Mathew chuckled and put both of his hands on each side of her stomach. "He's going to be the best kicker when he plays football."
Nia grabbed his hands. "Mathew, don't force him to play any sports."
"I'm not. I'll encourage him, but not force. I'll just show him the path."
"I mean it Mat. If he comes to me saying you're forcing him, I won't talk to you for a month and no sex for 3 months."
Mathew sighed. "I promise I won't force him." He kissed Nia lips.
A pain shot through Nia. She pulled away and hissed as she put her hand on her stomach. "Are you sure you're okay?" Mathew said in a panic.Nia nod. "I'm fine."
"Nia maybe we should go to the doctors. I think you're having contractions."
She shook her head. "No, it's to early to give birth. I'm fine, he's just kicking me. I'll be in the room." Nia walked out the baby room and went down the hall to there room.
After their Honeymoon, Mathew brought a suburban house in a nice neighborhood. Three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, basement that contains Mathew's den, nice kitchen, living room and a medium size backyard; enough space to have a cookout.
When Nia first saw this house she was in tears. She always dreamed about a house like this; a family home to raise her 3 kids and/ or dog that Mathew always wanted. Their still debating about that. Everything is the way Nia wants it...Nia hopped out of bed and clutched her stomach as the pain grew. She eased her way out of bed and slowly walked to the baby room where Mathew was still fixing the crib.
"M-Mathew." Nia said.
"Yeah?" He said still having his focus on the crib.
"We need to go to the hospital, like right now." On cue water dripped down her legs and made a small puddle.
Mathew turned around and saw the puddle of water. He shot up. "Oh shit."
Nia nod. "Yeah, can we go please." She said while taking slow deep breaths. Nia carefully walked down the stairs with Mathew behind her. She put on her coat before walking out the door and into the cold winter air. Mathew grabbed his keys, coat and phone before walking out the door and locking it.
