Confused In Love

The sight of her caught the whole entire room. She was gorgeous and must be popular from how she looked and the type of attitude she had. " Jessica Perez the one and only is here! Mr. Wells I know I'm late but don't care so save your breath for something else. Thanks!" All of a sudden her eyes locked with mines and I was scared until she started walking my way and all eyes were on me as Jessica's gorgeous self came towards me.

My stomach tensed up as she sat next to me her expensive smelling perfume in the air between us. " Hey. I'm Jessica! I'm popular and everyone knows me. What's your name?" Her voice flowed beautifully out her mouth and her gray eyes bright and the best feature of her face. Her face was defined perfectly, she had no flaws.

" Hi. I'm Kayla Camino and I'm not popular. Btw your really pretty!" Ugh. I don't know why I said that. Sometimes my mind has complete control over me. Jessica laughed and started looking at my hair. " Omg Kayla! Your hair is beautiful! And your eyes!" My eyes are a grayish- blue. As she said these things I thought that she was hallucinating or talking to someone else. "I'm pretty? Are you talking about some else because this is not pretty. " I chuckled as I said this because I was really shocked that this flawless popular girl standing right next to me thought I was pretty.

" I have the greatest story to tell you Kayla. So last night I was at this party and it was amazing. People dancing, get drunk, and snorting coke. You know what that is right?" I sat there staring at her surprised by all of this. I stuttered for moment but then the words flowed out. " I...I know what coke is. I've done it before and went to parties like that!" Omg! Why would I say that?! Now she will expect me to do all of this at parties, if she invites me to one.

" Wait, you've been to this type of party before?" I don't know why I was lying to her already but I shook my head yes with a forced smile on my face. " Ok Kayla. I'm about to ask you something I never ask anyone. Would you like to come to the party I'm throwing at my house to and be my new best friend for life?"
My inside were ready to jump out of me that's how excited I was. A smile spread across my lips as I nodded at her.

Jessica squealed as I nodded. She was really happy, so happy that when she hugged me I almost fell from all her shaking. Students in the class stared at us from our loud laughing. I saw Mr. Wells open his mouth to begin talking, but realized that Jessica put her hand up and wasn't taking his crap right now.

When the day was over I went home to get ready for the party. It starts at 9:00 and never ends. I know my clothes were pretty but not pretty enough to go to a party for populars. I searched and searched through my closet and found nothing. I even went through some clothes my mom left behind that we kept for memory ( even though she was a piece of shit!).

Finally I just decided to wear the nicest thing I had. A tank top that had floral print with some boot cut jeans. It wasn't the best but I guess I had to deal with it for tonight, just to make some friends.

When I was done getting dressed it was only about 8:30 so I got my car keys and I was headed to Jessica's house. On my way downstairs James was in the kitchen yelling. I stopped right before walking in to eavesdrop. It sounded like his girlfriend Kaitlyn on the phone.

I felt bad because they were the perfect match and we're together for along time. But again, what do I know about relationships I never had one. I walked into the kitchen when he hung up. " Did you hear any of that Kayla?" I nodded my head and went to hug him. He told me he loved her to death and would do anything for her.

I broke from our long hug first and told him everything was going to be ok. I jumped in my car and headed to her house. She gave me the address right before school ended. She lived on Lake Elsnore Ave. and that was only about 20 minutes away.
