I had just arrived home from work and headed straight for my room, eager to change out of my suit. It was 7 p.m., which meant Anna would be arriving in an hour. To pass the time, I picked up a book from my shelf and delved into its captivating narrative.

As the clock struck just past 8 p.m., I heard a knock on my bedroom door, signaling Anna's arrival. I opened the door, inviting her in, and closed it behind us.

"I tried knocking on your front door multiple times, but you didn't respond. Your papá answered it instead."

"Apologies, I was engrossed in the world of literature."

"Reading, such a nerd," Anna playfully remarked, to which I rolled my eyes.

We strolled over to my bed, where Anna leaned in for a kiss and began undressing, prompting me to join her on the bed, shedding my clothes in sync.

I retrieved my clothes from the floor and proceeded to put them back on.

"That was fun," Anna remarked.

"Always is," I replied. "I'm going to get some water. Would you like anything?" I asked Anna.

"No, I'm okay," she replied.

I nodded, signaling my understanding, and approached the door to leave my room. To my surprise, Noah stood outside.

"Noah?" I said, confused.

"Who is she?" Noah inquired, clearly displaying her jealousy.

"Noah, she's right there," I responded, closing the door behind me to prevent Anna from overhearing. "Let's move to the other side of the hallway," I suggested to Noah, and I started walking while she followed closely behind.

"Couldn't you have asked me this when she's not around?" I inquired.

"No, I wanted to ask you now, so I did," Noah replied.

"Who she is has nothing to do with you," I snapped.

"Anna," Noah stated.

"How do you know her name?" I asked, curiosity heightened in my voice.

"I saw a picture of you two on your mirror," Noah responded.

"How on earth did you see that picture? Did you go into my room?"

"Maybe," Noah admitted.

"What were you doing in my room, Noah?" I asked, a hint of anger in my voice.

"I just wanted to take a look around, calm down."

"Look around? Look around at what? There's nothing to see."

"I didn't know you were into reading," Noah remarked.

"Don't avoid my question, Noah. What were you looking for?"

"Nothing specific."

I rolled my eyes at her and started walking away, but she stepped in front of me, placing her hand on my chest to prevent me from leaving.

"You read, Nick. You literally called me boring for reading, but you do too. So why did you say that?" she questioned, sounding slightly annoyed.

"It doesn't matter, Noah," I responded with frustration.

"It matters to me, though," she retorted.

"Can I go now?" I asked, eager to end the conversation.

"No, not yet. Who is she?" she pressed.

"No one important, Noah," I replied.

"I know you've known her for many years," she pointed out.

"Yeah, I have," I admitted, not knowing how she knew that.

Noah glanced at me, and at that moment, I realized she wouldn't give up until I disclosed who Anna was. Reluctantly, I confessed, "She's just a friend, Noah."

"A friend? Yeah, right," Noah chuckled, shaking her head.

"What else do you want me to say? This doesn't concern you at all. But, I am curious, are you jealous, baby sis?"

"Maybe not. But you cared about my boyfriend too, even though he doesn't concern you."

"That was different," I retorted.

"Was it, though, Nick? Because if I'm correct, I'd say we're both pretty jealous of our respective partners. And I'd also say we're both terrible at hiding that jealousy."

"I'm not the jealous one," I responded, even though it was a complete lie. Of course, I was fucking jealous.

"Uh-huh. So the mere thought of someone else's hands on my body—kissing me, touching me—doesn't make you even slightly jealous?"

My breaths grew quicker as Noah's words resonated within me. She was right. The idea of someone else's touch on her body ignited a fury within me because I wanted to be the only person touching her. My jaw clenched as I struggled to regain composure.

"See? You desire me just as much," Noah asserted, and in that moment, I surrendered completely. I swiftly spun her around, forcefully pinning her against the wall while firmly holding one of her arms. A loose strand of her hair brushed against her face, and I carefully tucked it behind her ear. Our faces drew near, our hot breaths mingling, both of us breathing rapidly. As I locked eyes with her, she did the same with me.

"You're making this really fucking difficult, Noah," I muttered.

"Then give in and make it easier for yourself," Noah responded, her lips planting a trail of kisses from my neck until they reached mine. I eagerly kissed her back, indulging in the delightful taste of her lips on mine, as our tongues intertwined. Noah moaned in pleasure, unable to contain herself. I reluctantly broke away from her lips and pressed a finger against them. "Shh, Anna is right there, and our parents are here too," I said, smirking. Noah giggled, and I gently traced the outline of her lips with my thumb. We continued our passionate kiss, wishing we could stay like this forever. However, the risk was too great with everyone around us.
"Sorry to cut the moment short, but I have to," I sighed, addressing Noah.

Noah nodded in agreement, knowing that we had to stop. I sealed our connection with one final kiss before she retreated to her room, while I descended the stairs to the kitchen.
