Cersei read it over and tommen looked so proud.
"What do you think mum?" Tommen questioned.
"Detailed. Commanding. Firm but gentle." Cersei remarked. "It's beautifully written. No one in their right mind would refuse my boy." Cersei agreed. Tommen smiled as she rolled it up. He moved to her stamping it closed with his sigil ring. He never wore his king ring though his fingers were silm compared to roberts meaty hands.
"Rieka helped me with it." Tommen added sealing it shut.
"Did she? You have been spending a lot of time with Rieka Stark."
"Is that okay? I like her a lot," tommen added. "Shes really nice to me and her wolf avalon gets along with ser pounce."
"Thats wonderful." Cersei assured. "Im glad you like rieka.... I havent spoken to her about this yet but i wanted to see what you thought about marriage to rieka?" Tommens smile grew and a blush crept up his cheeks. "She is beautiful." Cersei remarked.
"I would really like that." Tommen agreed his gaze looking up at her.
"I hoped you might."
"But the tyrells-"
"Have no want for a queen after joffreys wedding. No hard feelings." Cersei assured.
"Could I tell Rieka?"
No should have been what cersei said immediately but she smiled giving a little nod. Rieka needed to be warned and prepped and encouraged that this was the right thing.
"You have your lessons with the grand maester though right now dont you love?" Cersei questioned.
"Do I?" Tommen countered. Cersei tipped her head to the side. "I will check. Dont want to keep him waiting." He agreed.
"My good boy." Cersei agreed. She waited a moment before moving to riekas chambers. She was on the balcony a book in her hands her feet outstretched resting on Avalons upturned belly.
"Rieka," cersei called out. "Might we have a word?"
"Sure. Whats going on? Is tommen alright?" Rieka questioned coming inside.
"Yes its sweet of you to ask. Tommen is perfect. But i wanted to ask of you ever thought about being queen?"
"Queen. Never." Rieka admitted honestly.
"Would you want to be?" Cersei questioned.
"Queen?" Rieka needed clarification.
"Tommen adores you. He wants to be the one to tell you himself. But I suggested you and you should have seen his face rieka my little boy is smitten with you." Cersei declared.
"Marry tommen?" Rieka questioned. "Im not pure. I have been wed. Hell i still am technically." Rieka remarked.
"Do you not want him?"
"Hes so sweet and handsome like jaime." Rieka remarked. "But what of the tyrells?"
"I dont care about them. They are handled." Cersei assured.
"Do you want me to marry your son?"
"I know you will treat him right. Help him. Guide him. I... Rieka I keep telling you i wanted a sister and I got that in you. The idea of margaery digging her claws into my baby horrifies me." Cersei admitted "and tommen already loves you and Avalon too!" Avalons ears perked up. "Please please as my friend and honorary sister when tommen asks for your hand really think about it," cersei begged. Rieka nodded as cersei hugged her. "You are the only friend I have. I dont mind giving up the crown to you."
When Tommen came to Rieka she had been debating about her answer. She never expected Cersei to someone that was once called traitor. But she did. They had become friends and tommen was so sweet. He was nothing like joffrey. If she was going to be wed again why not someone sweet and kind. Why not someone that would treat her like a queen.
"Rieka stark, i have grown to love you and I want to continue to love you. Would you do me the utmost honor of becoming my bride, my queen, my wife?" Tommen questioned holding onto her hands.
" it would be my honor."
