Sarina wiegman's pov:
Losing our game to Australia. Making our 30 win steak go since ive been here.The girls are distraught but hunter seems lost.
A couple minutes later
I was walking back to the changing rooms after I had an interview about the match when I saw hunter sat alone in a room staring back at someone.
'If you had just gone for it and scored without passing you would have won the game, you've let me down and you've let your mum down you ungrateful shit!'
I went to open the door to be stopped by something being thrown across the room and barley missing hunters head.
I was just staring blankly at hunter when her dad walks up to her and pushes her head to the side.
Hunter's pov:
My dad was angry, not at the other players just me. As he's shouting at me and pushed my head to the side I see sarina she looks sad but she just walks away. And soon after my dad goes and leaves me sat there thinking about what he said to me.
It's been 2 months since loosing to Australia and now we're playing against Portugal. The game was good we made chances and chances but none of them went into the back of the net everytime I took a shot at the goal but it just went out and off target. All I could think about is my dad in the stands and when I look up he's so disappointed with a stern look on his face yelling things which I can't hear over the noice of the crowd.
Mary's pov:
I think by now everyone can see that hunter is not playing the best and when she does miss the goal she looks in the stands looking for someone.
As captain for this game I've got to make sure my team mate is ok so when a Portugal players goes down I call her over.
'Hunter! Come over here!'
'Yeah you ok?'
'I'm fine but are you? Your not concentrating you need to be focused for yourself but for your team they need you to be 100 percent so stop thinking what ever's inside your head and start focusing what's in your heart and how to make this game better'
'Im fine, I'll try mary thank you I've just got stuff going on but I'll try forget about that for the game'
'Ok that's good and if you ever need anything I've got you just come and ask for me and I'll be there ok'
'Ok'
The whistle went and the game carried on hunter was being more affectionate
But there was still no goals.
Hunters pov:
The game stopped. We went to thank the fans and walked back to the changing rooms. We were sat in our cubbys whilst sarina was talking about how we did our best someone called my name.
'Hunter'
Sarina stopped talking and everyone looked at me
'Hunter your dad wants to see you'
I tried to hide my emotions but I think everyone saw the look on my face
'Yh ok ill uhh ill come out and talk to him'
I got up and walked outside of the changing rooms and seen my dad leaning against the wall.
'You know what I'm going to say and don't you dare talk back to me'
'Ok'
'Ok what'
'Ok sir'
'You know you could've scored a goal today but you didn't! You passed the ball again what did I tell you about that huh! You never lisen to me and you know what the worst part is! Your mother looked so happy to see you playing but you had to ruin it and not win! FORGET ABOUT WINNING YOU COULDNT EVEN PUT A BALL IN A NET WHICH WAS WIDE OPEN!!'
'I'm sorry dad I'll do better next game I promise I was trying my hardest today I was just thinking too much'
'That's the problem with you! Your always to much in your head so when you've finished what's going on in there me and you are going to that field to practise! SO MAYBE THEN AFTER THAT YOU CAN HOPEFULLY SCORE A GOAL AND NOT SCREW IT UP LIKE YOU ALWAYS DO!'
'Dad please just let me go home I need to rest I don't want to overwork myself I know how to play football otherwise I wouldn't be here I wouldn't even be playing for arsenal so please just go home and let me go back to the changing rooms'
'What did I tell you, you little shit! Don't talk back to me you do what I say end off and if you were good at football you would've scored or assisted a goal but you didn't so this is what you get in return!!'
'Dad please I can't do this now'
I try walk back to the changing rooms but I got stopped very quickly
'DONT YOU TURN YOUR BACK ON ME HUNTER YOU LITTLE SHIT!'
next minute i know my wrist is pulled tightly and I get pushed in the chest. I react out of instinct I don't know why but I just punched him as hard as I can and he fell with a grunt on the floor. I take a step back in shock before I hear the doors open and see the team looking at me.
'OH YOU THINK YOUR ALL BIG AND TOUGH NOW LETS HAVE IT RIGHT HERE HUNTER ILL SHOW YOU WHAT ITS LIKE TO BE BEATEN AGAIN'
I can't even think about what's going on around me, I'm still in shock untill I see my dad running at me trying to hit me
only to be pulled away by the security.
'DONT FORGOT WHERE YOU COME FROM HUNTER YOU STUPID FUCK'
I'm still standing in the same place I was for about 2 minutes when I feel someone pull me into a hug.
I stand there frozen untill I know what's going on around me and hug them back to know its mary
'It's ok just let it out ok I'm here your ok' mary whispers in my ear
I feel tears making there way down my cheeks and I burry my face into Mary's shoulder and just cry.
