Iceberg has seen a Snow owl only once in his life. When he first attended his royal breakfast with Queen North, his older cousin Shard had brought a Snow owl as a treat for his aunt . Just because of this, he had been placed from the second circle to the first. At the time, Iceberg didn't understand how was that such a big gesture but when he himself tried to catch one, he very quickly understood. These owls were indescribably fast, quiet and hard to even spot. Catching them seemed almost impossible.
As he listened closer Hover frowned under his talon and smoke from his nostrils slipped under Icebergs claws.
He just tightened his grip, gesturing being quiet and inhaled the cold morning air to catch the owls scent.
,,Got it." he thought winningly and let go of Hovers snout.
From what he could smell, it wasn't too far. If he found where it was, he could easily jump and reach it. His eyes began swiftly sliding around in the treetops when he caught a glimpse of royal white feathers. Icebergs heart beat sped up when he planned out his next move. He has to catch it. This could get him some real respect amongst his family and he won't waste that kind of opportunity.
His talons spread out and he shot out of his spot with the speed of an attacking snake. A few agonized screeches and bird noises later, he fell back to the ground with his talons full of white feathers and pure red blood.
,,YES!" Iceberg roared in victory and lifted his catch above his head.
,,What is that?" Hover asked, shaken.
,,This, my dear, is my ticket to more freedom." Iceberg took a few steps closer, so Hover could see what he was holding. ,,Snow owls are the most difficult to catch animals in the whole Pyrrhia. In the Icewing tribe, bringing one to the Queen can get you up a whole circle."
,,Hm." Hover moved it's wing with his claw so that he could see it's face. ,,Cool."
,,Indeed that is!" Iceberg shouted.
