Part 3 - Cars

Ice cream!? Power thought, Out of all the food humans have, she likes ice cream!? Power stared at the Burger King, the cars circling around it was amusing.

Sneaking carefully, Power made it to the side of the building, circling around looking for something to climb up on. She found the ladder and scrambled up it quickly. She looked around the city, hoping to spot any place that had ice cream.

Signs on a distant building read, "The Ice Cream Place"

A smile appeared on Power's face, "That's it! An Ice Cream place!" She stood up, ready to get ice cream but stopped. "Wait… how am I gonna get Kobeni to go?" Power thought, using the few brain cells she did possess.

"I'll… I'll politely ask her to go! Yeah, she'll definitely want to go with me if I say it nicely."

Power sat back down on the Burger King sign. She decided to wait till Kobeni's shift was over to ask her. Kobeni will love this very considerate gift.

Some time later, Power was bored out of her mind. She tried to count all the cars that drove by but realized she can't count past 10.

"Hey, Human!" Power yelled to someone walking out of the restaurant.

The person looked up, confused. "What?"

"What time is it?"

"About 7:56"

Power tried to recall what time Kobeni's shift ended. I was only there a week ago……… EIGHT! Excitedly, Power started preparing what she was going to say.

"Little human! Be glad I found you and join me in getting ice cream!" Too pushy…

"Hey Kobeni, do you wanna go get ice cream with me?" Not nice enough!

"I'm so glad I caught you here, would you like to get ice cream with me?" Perfect.

After Power rehearsed her invitation several times she noticed Kobeni exiting the restaurant.

A little too energetic, Power jumped off the roof. She had tried to land next to Kobeni and be cool, but instead found herself atop Kobeni.

Finally Kobeni's shift ended. She punched in her time and opened the door to outside. The events involving Power lingered in her mind. That sure was weird… At least my boss wasn't there at the time. I would definitely be fired for that. She reached inside her pocket, attempting to grab the keys to her car.

A sudden weight found itself on Kobeni's shoulders, causing her to crumple on the ground.

Panicked thoughts raced through her mind, What was that? Did someone attack me!? I hope I'm not brought to a hospital, I dont have insurance!

The crushing weight lifted from her back, "Whoops, haha… accident"

"POWER!?" Kobeni exclaimed, "How the FUCK do you jump on someones back accidentally!?" Kobeni brought herself to her feet, wincing as she straightened her spine.

"Eh, uh… Typo." Power awkwardly said, refusing to meet eyes with the person she squished.

While gently poking her ribs to make sure they weren't broken, Kobeni asked, "What are you doing here? I thought you left."

"False! I was out here simply to… uh… ask you something."

"Well doesn't that sound familiar! You better ask me before you cause more trouble."

"I was wondering… Erm, uh, ummmn… Do you want to get ice cream with the great Power."

The two stood in the middle of the parking lot, silently. Kobeni blinked, absolutely appalled that Power had asked her that.

"You… want to get ice cream with me." Kobeni repeated, making sure she didn't imagine it.

"Yeah." Power answered, extending her hand forward. Expecting her to hold it.

Kobeni flinched, then slapped Power's hand away. "You think I will get ice cream with you...After you embarrassed me at work, almost got me fired, and jumped on my back!?"

Realizing the obvious, Power began trying to explain, "Uhh I-"

"No, Power! You harass me everytime you see me! You constantly cause trouble for me, call me names, threaten me, insult me-"

Power suddenly shoved Kobeni, causing her to stumble backwards into a parked car.

THUD

In shock, Kobeni leaned against the car she was pushed into. Processing what just happened.

Power… Power got hit by a car!

Kobeni started panicking. OH MY GOD! A CAR HIT POWER! AM I RESPONSIBLE? DO I RUN AWAY? WHAT DO I DO? WHAT DO I DO!? She ran to where Power was lying on the ground. The car had backed away and left as soon as it launched Power, obviously scared of being caught.

Placing one hand on the side of Power's neck Kobeni waited for a pulse. She let out a sigh of relief when she felt it.

"P-power, can you hear me?"

"Of course I can." Power responded, her eyes flicking open. "Why wouldn't I be able to?"

"Eep! I-I thought you died" Kobeni hastily replied. She felt foolish, feeling concerned about Power.

"No one can vanquish Power the Mighty." She declared as she sat up, seemingly unfazed about the whole ordeal. Startled, Kobeni jumped back, not expecting this.

"Help me up, short human" Power demanded, holding out her arms. Sighing, Kobeni grabbed them and pulled her up.

"Oof, Power! How much do you weigh? You almost killed me when you jumped on my back too!"

Wiping off the dirt from her clothes, Power replied, "Hey! You can't ask someone how much she weighs! That's bullyiiing."

"No, that's just asking a question… Are you sure you're fine?"

"Such a weak being like a car could never hurt me! Now, let us go get ice cream!" Power announced, grabbing Kobeni's hand and walking towards the Ice Cream Place.

Ugh, well... she did get hit by a car, to save me... probably........ I guess I'll get ice cream with her, as a sort of thanks for the car.
