Part 4 - Ice cream

Yes! I'm holding Kobeni's hand! Best day of my life! Wait… Is that a lebanon thing?? IM NOT GAY 

"H-huh? I never said you were."

Realizing she had said the last part out loud, Power quickly came up with a very believable explanation. "Typo"

Slightly annoyed, Kobeni muttered, "Th-that's not how a typo works, b-but okay…"

After a minute of silent walking, Power noticed Kobeni looked uncomfortable. Maybe even crying.

"Short human, why do you look so unhappy? You're with The Great and Mighty Power!"

"It's j-just that you… Kind of assaulted a-and then k-kidnapped me."

"Nuh-uh! I ACCIDENTALLY fell on you! And you're coming with me willingly!"

"You grabbed m-me and led me here. See? Y-you're holding my arm so h-hard it's b-bleeding."

Noticing the death grip on Kobeni's arm, she let go. Power knew Kobeni was a wimp and wouldn't run away, if she did… Power would just find her again at Burger King or Public Safety.

Sniffing back unimaginable amounts of snot and tears, Kobeni rubbed her bleeding arm. Trying to get the imprints of Power's hands off. 

"Rejoice, tiny human! There it is… The Ice Cream Place!"

The Ice Cream Place was a small building covered with signs filled with different flavors, some sounding rather weird.

'"Soap', 'Onion', 'Egg'?... Power, w-what kind of place is this?" Kobeni read, surprised at how many disgusting flavors there were. Do people really order these?

"It's the Ice Cream Place, duh." Answered Power, not understanding Kobeni's question at all. She noticed Kobeni no longer had tears streaming down her face. I made her stop crying! Success. I deserve a piece of gum for this.

"And now… The best part!" Power declared, pulling out a card from her pocket. "Topknot's credit card! He gave it to me so we could get whatever we want."

There was a look of doubt on Kobeni's face. Something deep within Kobeni didn't believe that someone so logical would ever give an animal like Power the ability to spend money on anything. Kobeni shook off the feeling, "I just want a vanilla."

"Okay, be boring… C'mon let's go up and order!" Power seized Kobeni's hand, slightly gentler than before, and led her up to the line behind the ordering window.

Standing in a line with Power filled Kobeni with unease. Two things that don't mix… Power and waiting. Holding hands with Power did not feel calming either. Quite the opposite. 

Kobeni knew Power had a crush on her. Denji had pretty much outed Power being a lesbian. How Power was a homophobic homosexual… Kobeni did not know. I'm fine with her being gay, just not her jumping on my back. Or trying to kill me. 

Noticing Power getting impatient worried Kobeni even more. Based on their many previous interactions, she would probably start saying slurs or threatening to eat everyone here soon.

I can't escape, and Power is probably going to cause a scene shortly… Should I try and distract her? It's probably going to be one of two outcomes to that… she is fine, or she starts screaming. Kobeni decided to take the risk. "So, Power… What's your favorite animal?"

"Oh that one's easy! Koben- uhhh…. typo… haha…. I mean cat. My favorite animal is a… cat."

"I see…" Great. Power made this weird. Now what?
