I have been the most famous woman alive for two years straight which I still find hard to believe considering that I was a personal assistant for some corporate guy five years ago. My partner is the reason why I came to be in the spotlight but my talent and consistency is what kept me on the map.
Being the most followed woman on instagram can take a huge toll on your mental health even though it makes you a shit load of money. I get paid for every post no matter what it is but my partner has me beat as the most followed person on instagram.
There is a lot of pressure that comes from being the IT couple but we have had to learn how to keep our personal and professional lives separate. We have both dealt with cheating allegations and I was often called a gold digger because the media wanted a reaction but we never fed into that.
"Two years later and it's still the weirdest thing." I say while filming the paparazzi who are taking pictures of us from their boats and helicopters. There is a sea of fans surrounding the boardwalk that we are dining atand the local police force had to come out hours ago to contain the situation.
We are in Malibu for an event that ended up going on longer than anticipated which gave people the opportunity to tweet out location. All you could hear was the fans screaming for our attention as we listened to the speeches being made and it got to be a bit embarrassing even though we have no control over them.
"Can you believe that this is our life?"
"That's the rockstar life." Arlo flicks his tongue out as I film him and I pull a face before ending the recording. Dread starts to set in as I realise that we will have to walk through the crowd to get to our vehicle and Arlo places his hand over mine once he realises the shift in my mood. "We're ok."
"I knew that it would be crazy when I first started dating you but I never expected it to lead to a whole circus." I scoff while shaking my head. "Sometimes I could get away with going out to eat but nowadays I can't because everybody wants to see us."
