I never dreamed that I would spend my first night engaged in Italy so this really has been the surprise of a lifetime. There is no doubt that I will be getting Arlo's name tattooed on me as this man has completely transformed my life for the better.
"Grazie." I thank the young girls who spent five minutes taking pictures of Arlo and I infront of this pretty road. Whenever we go on trips alone, we face not getting full body pictures together as there is nobody to take them for us and we don't want to get mobbed or robbed.
"You are so gorgeous." The youngest one tells me as I smile for the selfie. "This is my whole life made."
"Awh." I laugh a little while embracing her in a hug and Arlo chuckles at the interaction.
"Was so nice to meet you."
"And you." The oldest of the two responds as she looks up at Arlo who is just smiling at me. "He is so in love with you."
I wink at him, "I know."
We exchange a few more words before going about our day as we are trying to make the most of the time that we have together. Arlo has done pretty well in choosing locations for us so although we have bee caught by the fans and paparazzi a few times, they have not been able to keep up with us.
"This is the most relaxing trip that we've ever had." I tell Arlo as we walk hand in hand. "Maybe we need to move out here."
He gives my hand a squeeze, "Maybe."

Following the proposal, we spent our night calling my family whenever we weren't making love and I was very surprised to find out that Arlo had asked for my hand in marriage. I would have loved for Arlo to have invited my family here for the proposal but I understand that he is not that type of guy so I appreciate him even asking for their blessing.
"We could have a courthouse wedding today." I tease Arlo who is already over the wedding talk and I laugh as he dramatically rolls his eyes. "Or start looking at locations since we're having our wedding in Italy."
