{6} Vic-Jax - Mom and Meetings

starting right where we left off the part hope u enjoy - like I did writing this

Victoria

"See that what I'm talking about" is all I heard from stella before I stood up and said "thanks for helping me and telling the shit I need to hear even if I didn't want too" I told her with tears still coming out of my eyes.

"I know that you need the boost sometimes to get out of your head space" was all she said before we heard annoying ring tone of my phone "Well, shit this could go very wrong wanna stay for another shit show" I said Well reaching over to answer the phone. "Yeah, I will but if I get yelled at, I'm going to blame you alright?" she said as she moved to sit right beside me.

The call was coming from my mother - who love dearly but I have not told her about half the stuff going on in my life as I don't want to worry her too much.

"Hey mom what up" I said

"Nothing I was just checking on you and to see how your day has been so far" my mom said but before I could speak again, she was talking again

"I remember you telling me a few days ago you were getting a new boss I just want to see if you like him or if he was like Mr.King where he was pain in the ass" she said in the sweetest tone and this is why I love her so much

"Yes, you remember right I did get a new boss and you will never guess who it is. If you would like a hint, I could give you one but only one" I told her. Beside me Stella trying hard not to laugh (she is failing)

She replies very quick "yes please there are so many people in this world your new boss could be."

"Alright here I go, it's one of the children from Best Friends" she didn't sound to happy with that hint, I thought it was a good one if you think just a little bit.

"The hell do you mean by Best Friends... You do know that I'm 65 years old not five or 25 apparently" my mom was a bit of a bitch sometimes I was not gonna lie. That part kinda hurt my already crushed feelings.

Stella who was still right next to me wrapped her arms over my shoulder trying to give me comfort after what my mother just said

"Okay, I was thinking about Keith and Alexis children, I called them your Best Friends as they truly are but that a point for a different day"

"Well then it has to be Jaxson" she said it with way too much confidence for my liking but whatever

Stella who had stop laughing at this point whisper "how does she know also why is she being such a bitch right now... she not normally like this"

"How can you be so sure with that mom?" I said it her with just as much confidence as when she it had to be Jaxson

"Well, all the other kids are at home right now" there was a bead of silence before she spoke again. "I'm at their house right now, talking to all of them accept Jax. By the way James said he had a run in with you this morning and I'm sure you know the rest of the story as you were there Victoria" she basically told me off in best I know what you did wrong but don't want to yell at you right now

"Yes, I do know and I'm not sorry I love you, but I have a meeting to get too so talk later" I hang before she can say goodbye as I need to go cry some more before the next meeting

I turn to look at Stella "Hey can you go help Jaxson with whatever he needs for the next meeting the plans are on the top of my desk" I sucked in a shaky breath before I continue "I justneed a minute to get myself together before I head to this meeting" I saidstill trying to catch my breath

"Yeah, I can do that I just need to make sure out ok before I leave the bathroom... to make sure you won't hurt yourself" she spoke softly but it was still hard letting me know she was being serious

"I already told you I want; I need to get better for me and my friends and family. Therefore, I just need to get it to look like I have not been crying for the last 30 minutes

"Alright, I will see you in ten minutes in the conference room love you more then you even know" and those were her last words before walking out leave me alone on the bathroom floor

Fucking I need to really get my shit fucking life together

Jaxson

I walked into the meeting room hoping to see Victoria at the front of the room but instead I saw Stella. My eyebrows drew together, and my eyes widened both in concern and worry for why she is not here.

Once I had taken the concerned look off my face, I walked over to Stella so I could find out why my assistant is; why is she not here in this meeting one she set up in the first place.

As I am walking over to her, she was walking over to me it like she could read my mind knowing I wanted to know why she was here. When we fully got face to face I could see a slight bit of worry in her eyes but it was hard to tell it was for Victoria or for having to be in this meeting

"Hey, Mr. Hoover Ms. Cohen is coming she just freshen up in the bathroom she should be here any minute but she sent just in case you need anything well she is away" she spoke with a new find politeness that she didn't have earlier in the day when talking to me

I didn't have the time to talk about her anymore as what I believe the whole team I am supposed to talk to is in the conference room looking at me. Fuck I don't know what I meant to be doing Cohen helped me last time.

I looked toward Miss Morgan to see if she had any clue with the little glint in her eyes with a tiny smile make me believe she know what to do. She get up from where she is seated, then proceeds to get what the things she need to help me.

Shit, I will have to learn how to do stuff like this; I cannot rely on other people so much. I am the boss after all but for now I can get Stella to help me even though seem to be everywhere but, in the moment, where I need her to be what the fuck happened with Victoria to have her this shaken up.

About 10 minutes later Victoria walked through the door but looked like she had been crying. Now I need to know what happened from the first meeting to the second, I wish I could read minds to know but I not somethings that I can do.

So I will just have to wait until the meeting it fully over to talk to about it
