Saanvi's POV
"So, she took almost 650,000 US$ and left you a note to never contact her again and just disappeared. It doesn't feel right." Was what my father said. He told me that he always felt something fishy about Riley. He was very angry and worried for me at the same time.
I was devastated, broken. My parents told me that she duped me, but I couldn't believe, because the circumstances were like that. If I hadn't stressed the topic of her parents, she would have been with me. My mother was there with me for almost a month, making sure that I am okay, but I wasn't. We went to the police, but they said that everything suggests that she left by herself and there is no sign that she was forcefully taken or anything had happened to her.
I moved to a new smaller rented apartment, I wasn't going to my job, I was broke. I had to pay the loan instalments that my wife took, I became addict to drugs, alcohol. Seeing my condition, my mother took me to therapy, I did it for 3 months but no improvement. My mother kept saying that she has gone but I was not ready to accept it, finally she said, "Dear, I hate it to say, but I have depleted all my savings by paying the instalments, rents, taking care of us, paying for therapies. It's time for you to forget her and move on."
I promised her to take care of all this chaos and move on in life. After 6 months of Riley's disappearance, I started giving importance to therapy. As per Dr. Zane's advice I went back to work, tried to get my shit together, met few girls and now here I am.
I am in my office working and I get a call from my brother Akash. I picked it up.
Akash: Hey lil sis. How are you?
Saanvi: Hi Bhai. I am in office. Anything urgent?
Akash: I am fine. Thank you. Manners Saanvi.
Saanvi: Bhai, if you have called me to teach manners, then I will cut the call. (I said agitatedly.)
Akash: Hey Saanvi. Just relax. I am at the Texas Airport with your Bhabhi.
Saanvi: Oh Wow! Why are you telling me about your whereabouts? Do you want me to tell our parents?
Akash: Hey Silly! Just let me finish first. Did Riley ever contact you?
(I zoned out for a moment listening to her name.)
Akash: You there? Saanvi?
Saanvi: Yes. I am there. Why are you asking about her suddenly?
Akash: I think I saw her at the airport.
Saanvi: You think? Did you talk to her?
Akash: She was far away, so couldn't see her properly, but Ashley says she looked similar, except her hairs were black. I couldn't talk to her, as she had gone for her flight.
A tear fell from my eyes after hearing about it. Is she, my Riley?
Saanvi: Where was she headed to? Was she alone?
Akash: I saw her going to the terminal.
Saanvi: Where to exactly?
Akash: I don't know that.
Saanvi: Okay. When are you coming back to New York? Any time sooner?
Akash: Yeah, I am boarding a flight, I will be there by evening, I guess. You coming?
Saanvi: Fine. I am coming too. I will catch the first flight. Just be there. We need to talk. Bye.
With this I ended the call and booked the first flight for New York.
Suzie's POV
I have reached Maldives and into my hotel. I have checked in and want to take a long nap as I am feeling little jet lag. It is already night now, so I guess, I will directly go to sleep.
I woke up next morning, dressed myself in a bikini and went to the beach just outside the hotel. I took a good sunbath and saw a guy; he was staring at me. I talked to him and we hit it off and went to my room to have sex. The sex was amazing. Then the men left, I took a bath, had lunch, went sight-seeing. This is what I have been every day and enjoying quality time with myself.
