Chapter Thirteen: You Could Be Mine

I was hanging out with the band at my house, talking and chilling, when I felt someone tap my shoulder. I turned around to look at Axl.

"Hey, mind if we go to your bedroom?" Axl whispered.

"Uh… sure." I responded. I felt weird, what was he going to do?

"Great." he stood up and ran up the stairs and I followed.

I shut the door. "So, what's up?" I wondered.

He pulled a paper out of his pocket and gave it to me. "I wanted to show you a new song I've been working on." he said.

I read the paper. These were actually good lyrics !

"I like this, this is good ! Nice job." I smiled.

"Thank you !" he smiled back. "It's just the lyrics for now. The rest haven't seen it yet." he added.

"Oh ! Can I try something?" I said, taking my electric guitar and plugging it into my amp.

He just nodded, looking at me. I put the lyrics infront of myself and started playing. Axl then started singing along.

Steven's POV:

"Guys, do you hear that?" I questioned.

"Holy shit, is that Ray and Axl?" Slash asked.

"I think so, but which song is that, I don't remember this-" Duff asked.

"I dunno, should we go check?" Izzy offered.

We all went up the stairs to Ray's room and opened the door. We saw Axl singing and Ray playing the guitar and damn they were good.

Ray's POV:

Me and Axl finished the song, I looked up and my eyes widened, noticing the others came to see. They just stood there in shock.

"Did you both just come up with this?" my brother asked.

"Well, Axl showed me the lyrics and I just improvised." I replied.

"WHAT?! YOU CAME UP WITH THAT YOURSELF?" Slash yelled.

"Uhm, yeah…" I said.

"Axl, why didn't you show us the lyrics??" Steven questioned.

"Uh…, I don't know, I'm sorry…" Axl looked at the ground.

"No man, you good." Slash smiled.

"You think you could write down the music for us, Ray?" Izzy wondered.

"Well, I'm not that good with writing music yet but I can try !" I replied.

"If you need help I'm here." Duff offered.

"Thank you !" I spoke.

"We should get going to practice." Steven said.

"Oh, yeah, let's go." everyone was about to leave but Axl just stood there.

"Yeah ! You guys can go down, I'll be there in a bit." Axl said.

"All right." the rest left.

"Ray." Axl spoke.

"Hm?" I replied.

He stood there for a while and then he hugged me. "You did a great job." he complimented.

I hugged him back. "Thank you, Ax. You, too." I said.

Then he pulled away. "Goodnight." he smiled.

"Goodnight !" I smiled back, then Axl left.

I was freaking out on the inside. I couldn't belive he actually did that.
