"You get it?" I asked him.

"...Yeah." He said, hesitantly. I gave him a look.

"Don't lie." I looked into his eyes. He looked back at me, giving a small smile.

"...No," he said, groaning. He leaned back in his chair and stared up at the ceiling. I sighed.

"Do you wanna go over it again or try again tomorrow?" I asked. I watched as he used his hand to play with his hair.

"Uh, try again tomorrow, I guess. I've had enough'a math for today." He said, glancing over at me.

"Alright," I closed the textbook and grabbed all the papers sprawled out on the table, tapping them on the table to align them.

I shoved the papers into my folder and stuffed it in my backpack, then I picked up the math textbook and leaned down to Georgie's backpack.

Getting down on one knee, I suddenly was all too aware that I had a bruise on that knee. I cursed and dropped the math textbook, alerting Georgie who shot up from his comfortable position on his chair.

"Huh? What's wrong?" He asked, looking down at me with curiousity.

"It's nothing, just got a bruise when playing football with Zach." I explained, grabbing the math textbook again. I quickly stuffed it into his backpack, having to make room for it in the clutter of all of his items tightly packed inside.

"Can I see?" He asked, leaning on the edge of the chair. His legs were spread apart, his hands resting in-between them.

"Yeah, sure." I zipped his backpack up and looked up at him, adjusting myself to a position where I could pull my pant leg up.

I settled down with one leg sprawled out on the floor and the other leg bent, rolling up the pant leg all the way to above my knee.

I didn't realize how bad my bruise looked until I saw it then.

"Jesus Christ, have you gotten that checked out?!" Georgie exclaimed, suddenly concerned for my wellbeing.

"I didn't think it was that bad," I scratched the back of my neck. Georgie suddenly stood up from his chair and picked up his backpack, then offered a hand to me.

"What are you doing?" I questioned him.

"We're goin' to the nurse's office," he stated simply. I raised a brow at him, but took his hand anyway. He pulled me up with ease with one hard tug, stabilizing me as I rose to my feet.

I swiped up my backpack and hauled it onto my shoulder, stomping my foot to lower my pant leg back down.

"C'mon, my turn to escort you now." Georgie said jokingly, grabbing my forearm and tugging me out the library.

"You know I can walk on my own, right?" I said, teasingly. He grinned back at me.

"Naw, with an injury like that? You might not be able to walk for weeks!" He joked, "Might have'ta pick you up."

I laughed, "As if you could. You're built like a stick,"

"You tryna test that theory out?" He looked at me challengingly. I looked back at him.

"Maybe I am."

With those words, he yanked me towards him and took my backpack, swinging it onto his shoulder. He was now carrying two backpacks, but it didn't seem to bother him as he reached down to put an arm behind my knees.

"Oh you're serious—" were the last words I said until he hauled me up bridal style.

"Still doubt me?" He asked, smirking playfully. I smiled back at him.
